You are ignoring the article's main conclusion, which is that light skin is a flawed way of measuring European ancestry. Stop cherry picking articles to support your whitewashing of the Mexican population, as you have been doing for the last six years. Other contributors have rightfully called you out on this malicious agenda, and its surprising that you have been able to push it for so long in the face of verifiable genetic evidence to the contrary. undo Tags: Undo Reverted
  • curprev 03:3703:37, 11 June 2023 Pob3qu3 talk contribs 182,023 bytes −541 Actually in the last paragraph of the page 2 of the study it can be read: "Lighter pigmentation of hair, skin and eyes is also significantly correlated with the genetic estimates of European ancestry." You are misinterpreting the sources. undo Tags: Manual revert Reverted

Light skin does not equal white, especially when it is clear that certain genes for light skin originate in Indigenous american populations. I fail to see why it is wrong to provide this important piece of context to this data, especially when the Mexican government itself does not even classify it as "white" but rather as "light skin" undo Tags: Undo Reverted
  • curprev 01:5901:59, 11 June 2023 Pob3qu3 talk contribs 182,023 bytes −541 The newly added article is out of place here. The study on which it is based on, which can be consulted writing "A GWAS in Latin Americans highlights the convergent evolution of lighter skin pigmentation in Eurasia" in web search states in the page 7, fig 4 that the incidence of said gene is of around 0.7-0.8 in East Asians and Native Americans but only of 0.1 in non-indigenous Latin Americans. undo Tags: Manual revert Reverted
