Evidence presented by M.K.
[edit]Polish cabal existed in 2007 already
[edit]Polish cabal team exited in 2007, during Piotrus 2 case there were presented more then enough circumstantial evidence to conclude such existence. However Committee trusted Piotrus again and did not confirm the existence.
However now, after cabal mailing list was exposed to public, we have direct and indirect evidences regarding Polish cabal team existence in 2007. Therefore for full picture I am presenting older and new evidences.
2007 evidences
[edit]In conjunction of previously posted evidences (reposing some parts):
Piotrus reaches 3rr limit:
- 1st revert 03:23, 24 October 2007
- Uninvolved editor starts editing 03:56, 27 October 2007. But is immediately Reverted by Piotrus 2nd revert 00:58, 27 October 2007
- Uninvolved User adds reference 04:47, 27 October 2007. But is immediately reverted by Piotrus yet again 3rd revert 04:54, 27 October 2007.
Now that Piotrus is on 3RR limit, user:Tymek, who never edited this article before, joins revert war, and reverts edits by a neutral contributor 06:12, 27 October 2007
Off course it not the only instance when facing 3RR Piotrus is saved by one of his off-wiki communication partners, whose only contribution is reverting to version reverted by Piotrus before.
Same pattern different article:
- 1st revert 23:05, 4 September 2007
- 2nd revert 23:20, 4 September 2007
- 3rd revert 23:25, 4 September 2007
And now when Piotrus exhausted his 3RR limits, user:Darwinek steps in 23:38, 4 September 2007. This revert is Darwinek's first ever contribution to the article main space, and the next revert is his last ever edit here 23:55, 4 September 2007
Another Piotrus' revert war:
is joined by Darwinek 20:14, 9 September 2007. In this case also it is the first and the only Darwinek's contribution to main space.
Same article. Piotrus gets involved in edit war again:
This time Tymek, who also never edited this article before, comes to help. And this remains Tymek's only main space contribution (not counting one minor edit almost a year later), 14:33, 17 September 2007
Yet another revert war by Piotrus:
Soon it is joined by Darwinek 16:30, 28 March 2008 . This revert is Darwinek's first and only main space contribution to the article.
And another one:
- 12 January - 28 February 2008: Piotrus tries without discussion to get rid of a picture that he [1] [2]
- 13:34, 29 February 2008) I comment: "For quite a time ,a single registered contributor is trying to remove a particular picture...".
- 14:01, 29 February 2008 (half an hour later) Darwinek, who never ever edited this article before, reverts to Piotrus version
- 14:50, 29 February 2008 immediate revert of Darwinek; these two reverts are Darwinek's only contributions to the article.
- 14:55, 29 February 2008, Piotrus proclaims: "And for the record, it's not a "single editor"; others apparently agree with me too (ex. link to recent Darwinek's reverts)."
Another revert war, but strategies the same:
Piotrus is engaged in another revert war with a different editor:
user:Tymek joins him 04:44, 18 May 2008 . Of course it is Tymek's first and only main space edit in this article.
Cabal mailing list confessions
[edit][Part of evidence were reworked per clerk request]
In conjunction of user:Piotrus confessions on cabal mailing list, in particular:
- Piotrus says he wonders if they could make Darwinek their ally again. Piotrus reveals that Darwinek was an active member of Polish group till Darwinek got desysoped. Piotrus writes, he helped Darwinek get sysop rights back but that since then Darwinek decided to stop being involved in all controversial editing. [07/02/2009 23.49]
- Piotrus says there are no admins he trusts completely other then Darwinek and that during the last arbcom Darwinek has stated that Darwinek is afraid to lose his adminship again and will not help Piotrus further."[02/06/2009 19.13]
- Piorus gives a heads-up to the group that Darwinek is in trouble: [3] Piotrus complains that it's Darwinek's own fault, and that Darwinek admits as much in his email to Piotrus. Piotrus admits he is tempted to say to him that if Darwinek hadn't abandoned their cause, he would be able to receive council and edit support. [07/19/2009 22.58] {concurring, user:Darwinek's controversial editing on Lithuanian topics became minimal, comparing with previous disruption levels}
- Piotrus says he knows Tymek very well, that he even met him briefly face to face and that he can vouch for Tymek's integrity. He reveals that Tymek has also helped Piotrus with reverts and similar issues before {before inviting user:Tymek into cabal mail list} [WPM] New Polish cabal members: Jacurek and Tymek [06/03/2009 13.12]
In conjunction of user:Radeksz confessions on cabal mailing list [20090621-18.53]:
- He bluntly states they do have superior numbers,
- that most of their opponents are inexperienced in relative terms to them, older folks like Ghirla and Irpen having been driven out
- that they are probably better organized and not just this list, but a lot of this organizations was formed informally at some level before
Summary
[edit]We can, after linking both 2007 evidences and mailing list confessions, reconfirm for sure now that Polish cabal team existed at least in 2007 and was actively supported Piotrus and participated in battleground creation.

- Human_rights_in_the_United_States
After Radek was placed on editing restriction, Radek used cabal mailing list to prepare an "appeal" questioning Thatcher's verdict. See Thatcher's evidence how they lobbied.
Radeksz harassing editors
[edit]Radeksz harassing user:Deacon of Pndapetzim
[edit]- Cabal member Piotrus informs cabal list that it is time to take down Deacon, noting the need to provoke Deacon and fill AE complain. He suggest that task should be carried out by Radeksz. (20090603-0726)
- Result Radeksz rushed to harassing Deacon and informed cabal list about his irritation campaign. (20090603-0813)
- Radeksz sees strategic advantage, he asserts that at this point Deacon's trying to avoid a confrontation either because he's not ready, because he feels to be on shaky ground or because he's busy with stuff and doesn't have time for it (according to Radeksz this doesn't change the fact that makes him vulnerable.) (20090608-0433)
- Result: after encouragement of cabal member Piotrus to make Deacon pay (20090608-0903) Radeksz filled complain on AE (20090608-1511)

- Result: soon afterwards Radeksz arrives to rebuke his opponent.
Radeksz harassing user:Skäpperöd
[edit]- Radeksz informs cabal list that they need to get Skäpperöd for edit warring via each cabal member doing only one revert a day. Radeksz continued planning in order to getting Skäpperöd to do 3 diff reverts on 3 different people (even if they are all a Polish tag-team) and that should be enough to file a case. Radeksz concluded that he loved to be able to go on his wiki break knowing that at least some fear has been put into Skäpperöd. (20090613-0720)
- Result: cabal members Digwuren, Tymek doing their best to provoke Skäpperöd into edit warring as instructed by Radeksz [23][24][25]
- Cabal member Radeksz informs cabal list they they need to do something about Skäpperöd, due to report on Loosmark (candidate for cabal list). (20090630-1604) user:Jacurek concurs and suggest to cut Skapperod's Nazi wings off (20090609-1919)
- Result: Radeksz along side with cabal members Piotrus Tymek, Jacurek attacking opponent
Radeksz harassing User:Smith2006 and User:Matthead
[edit]- Radeksz informs cabal list (with thread How to help Molobo) that block can be arranged on User:Smith2006 and Radeksz also hoped that this will also provide enough rope for Matthead to hang himself with (20090601-2147)
- Result: Soon after cabal Jacurek complains to Sandstein about User:Smith2006
- Cabal member Molobo tells his associates that it is possible to report Matthead over alleged provocations and restrict him under Digwuren sanction, he also provides necessary diff.(20090713-1722) Piotrus jumps in and insist that cabals should try e-mailing Sandstein/Shell first and ask them if they think that's enough to report him.(20090713-1736). Radeksz continued and finalized plotting on getting Matthead restriction emphasizing that he would go reporting Matthead to Sandstein since he's 1RRed Matthead before.(20090713-207)
- Result: after the tactics was finalized, Radeksz using Molobos's "material" {Molobo was banned at that time} reported his opponent on Sandstein's talk page Soon his associates user:Jacurek, user:Loosmark chimed in with "complains". Admin Sandstein noting that Polish opponent made unfortunate comment, rebuked Polish cabal members:Jacurek, Loosmark and Radeksz, you contribute to the battleground atmosphere by loudly taking offence at trivia of this sort instead of assuming good faith and carrying on with the substantial discussion. By this conduct, all of you are causing that discussion to generate more heat than light.
Radeksz harassing user:Russavia
[edit]- See full details on Russavia's evidences here.
- During this arbitration Radeksz recived topic ban in regards of Russiavia
Past and present sanctions/restrictions of EE mailing list members
[edit]Generally applicable principles
[edit]- Piotrus_1 arbitration:
- The areas of Wikipedia that relate to eastern Europe (in particular, but not limited to, the nexus of historical interaction among Russia, Poland, Lithuania, and Germany) have been contentious almost since the project's inception. The variety of disputes on these articles—both content-related and behavioral—has been exacerbated both by long-standing personal enmity between some of the editors working in the area, as well as by the broader historical and cultural circumstances of the region. In the course of these disputes, many of the editors involved have acted in some manner that violates Wikipedia policy; this includes both occasional editors as well as some of the primary producers of content on the topic.[26]
- All parties are reminded of the need to edit courteously and cooperatively in the future. Failure to do so will be looked upon harshly by the Committee, and may result in the summary imposition of additional sanctions against those editors who continue to act inappropriately.[27]
- Piotrus_2/Eastern European disputes arbitration:
- Wikipedia users are expected to behave reasonably, calmly, and courteously in their interactions with other users; to approach even difficult situations in a dignified fashion and with a constructive and collaborative outlook; and to avoid acting in a manner that brings the project into disrepute. Unseemly conduct, such as personal attacks, incivility, assumptions of bad faith, harassment, disruptive point-making, and gaming the system, is prohibited. [28]
- Not every aspect of Wikipedia activity can be exhaustively prescribed by written policy; experienced editors are expected to have a modicum of common sense and understanding, and to act in a constructive manner even if not explicitly forced to do so. [29]
List of EE mailing list members presently or formerly under restrictions/sanctions
[edit]As I didn't interacted with the most EE mailing list "members", I may overlook something. In any case, current and past restrictions/sanctions list is rather telling.
