I have absolutely 0 idea how to post about AU ideas so I’m just… gonna propose it like this

you’ve heard of Ultrakill … you’ve heard of Dredge … but now I present to you… ULTRADREDGE (name pending.)


- Ferryman MC

- Idk if it takes place in Hell or not, maybe an alternate Hell or something


Main concept

After crashing his Ferry and being rescued by a mysterious siren figure (Gabriel,) the Ferryman finds himself in a remote archipelago. Having to work his way back up with faith and selling fish to the local town, he tasks himself with unraveling the secrets of the isles and finding his savior once more.


Further ideas — Characters

- Gabriel could be a more classic Siren, aka the harpy-like ones

- V1, alternatively, could be a more classic Mermaid / Mermaidic biological machine. Like the Deity, he’d be the cause of the aberrations and influence of evil, both intentionally and as a byproduct of existing

- V2 could work as both the wandering merchant and the Collector, helping the Ferryman on his journey. It would be cool if he was something like a selkie with a connection to V1. Maybe he’s even hunting his estranged brother White Whale Style (WHIIITE WHAAALE HOLY GRAAAAAAILL—)

- Minos Prime could potentially be both the old mayor and the lighthouse keeper

- Sisyphus Prime could potentially be the retired whaler


This is just the basic concept and needs a lot of work but yayyy wow we need more Mer-AUs in Ultrakill… if anyone is even vaguely intrigued by this idea lmk!!

Slug-Ted is great and all, but I just randomly remembered some ideas I got for a sort of ‘centipede-worm-crustacean’(?) style amalgamation that leans as heavily into body-horror as I possibly can, inspired by eggonalegg’s Tedam design

Note that a lot of this is bullshit I came up with while delirious in the middle of a 14 hour car ride, so feedback is more than welcome huehehehe!!

So far chapter one is up!

Synopsis:

Many years ago, new revolutions in science and human psychology were uncovered, discoveries of how sound frequencies could alter human perception could change everything.


Many companies rushed to utilize these technologies, including that of Freddy’s Family Entertainment. With certain subliminals, the animatronics shows really came to life. Broken down machines could dance and sing, all with the help of a little sound deception and creativity. That was… Until several incidents in the 1980s, leading to the discovery of the side effects.


Eventually the memory of Freddy’s began to fade with the years, but something inside of Riley remained restless. He barely clings to the memory of his childhood, yet a hunger for closure haunts him like a ghost.

With perhaps too much wreckless abandon, he ventures into the old scrapyard, and finds far more than he was expecting.
