A: to peep is to take a peek. to peep can be cute when talking about children peeping, but usually you use to take a peek for that. Otherwise peeping is creepy. A neighbor can be peeping: to see from behind a hedge or trough a hole in the fence, being overly curious. A "peeping Tom" is someone who tries to see boobs of women who are unaware they're being watched or are trying to see a couple having sex.
