CARACTERSTICAS
El repetidor y punto de acceso porttil le ayudar a ampliar la cobertura

de la red inalmbrica de su hogar o pequea oficina, adems de que puede

utilizarlo como punto de acceso y generar una red inalmbrica en el lugar
donde se coloque.
Tambin tiene la posibilidad de conectar, por medio de un cable RJ45, un

switch o una computadora, ya que tiene el puerto WAN y otro LAN para usar
ese equipo que no cuenta con tarjeta de red inalmbrica o para configurar
el equipo.

Para una configuracin inalmbrica tpica en el hogar (como se muestra arriba), haga lo
siguiente:
Usted necesita acceso a Internet de banda ancha (a ADSL, lnea de mdem por cable en
su casa u oficina).
Consulte a su proveedor de ADSL o cable mdem para una correcta instalacin del
mdem.
Conecte el ADSL o cable mdem al ruteador COM-818 en la entrada LAN y conecte el
ruteador en la toma de corriente elctrica.

Para reiniciar el ruteador presione RESET durante 10 segundos.

Aadir computadoras al modelo COM-818

1. Inicie sesin en la computadora (o inicie la computadora).

para abrir Conectarse a una Red.
2. D clic derecho sobre el cono
3. En la lista que aparece, elija la red inalmbrica COM-818 y despus d clic en
Conectar.
4. Si es requerida, introduzca la clave de seguridad de red o contrasea y despus d
clic en OK.
Un mensaje de confirmacin aparecer cuando se haya conectado a la red.
5. Para confirmar que se ha agregado la computadora, ejecute lo siguiente:
D clic en Inicio, Panel de control, a continuacin, en la caja de bsqueda teclee Red;
despus d clic en Ver los equipos y dispositivos de red. Deber visualizar los conos
de la computadora que aadi y los de otras computadoras y dispositivos que formen
parte de la red.
Si no puede ver conos en el folder de Red, es posible que la deteccin de redes y el
intercambio de archivos estn desactivados.

Configuracin a travs del navegador web

1. Conecte el mini router inalmbrico en la pared. Despus de aproximadamente un
minuto, la luz de WLAN en el mini ruteador se enciende.
2. En su ordenador u otro dispositivo con acceso a Internet, vaya a la configuracin
inalmbrica y conctese a la red COM-818. Es probable que tenga que desconectarse
de su red actual.
Si el equipo solicita un cdigo PIN o set up de la red, haga clic en Conectar sin
configurar.

3. Abra el navegador web y escriba http://192.168.10.253 en el cuadro de direccin del

navegador. Este nmero es la direccin IP por defecto para este dispositivo.

A continuacin aparecer la pantalla de

inicio de sesin.
- Introduzca el nombre de usuario y la
contrasea, d clic en Aceptar para iniciar
la sesin.
- El nombre de usuario por defecto es
admin y la contrasea es admin.
Al iniciar sesin, podr configurar su ruteador.

Agregar inalmbricamente computadoras al Ruteador

con el botn WPS
1. Inicie sesin en la computadora.
2. Presione durante 2 o 3 segundos el botn WPS en el Ruteador.
3. Presione el botn WPS de su adaptador inalmbrico durante 2-3 segundos. D clic
en Finalizar para completar la configuracin WPS. (Por favor, revise el manual de su
adaptador inalmbrico con configuracin WPS).

Agregar una computadora por medio de cable Ethernet

1. Conecte el Ruteador a un tomacorriente. Conecte su computadora o laptop al
Ruteador mediante el cable RJ45.
2. Para verificar que la computadora se aadi, haga lo siguiente:
Entre a Inicio > Panel de control y en el cuadro de bsqueda ingrese Red; en el
submen Centro de redes y recursos compartidos elija la opcin Ver los equipos y
en las computadoras que aadi y
dispositivos de red. Deber visualizar el cono
en los dispositivos que sean parte de la red.

Cmo configurar la direccin IP en su computadora o

laptop
1. Inicie la computadora.
2. D clic en Inicio > Panel de Control > Centro de redes y recursos compartidos elija
Conexin de rea local. Seleccione Propiedades y en esa ventana elija Protocolo de
Internet versin 4 (TCP/IPv4), despus d clic en Propiedades.
3. Ajustar direccin IP manualmente: Ingrese 192.168.10.x (x es del 2 al 252), y para la
mscara de subred 255.255.255.0. Ingrese la direccin IP de LAN del ruteador (el valor
por defecto es 192.168.10.253) en el campo Puerta de enlace.

ASISTENTE
Despus de iniciar sesin, d clic en el
men Asistente para una configuracin
rpida de su ruteador.
Elija el Modo de Operacin que requiera:

Ruteador. Modo estndar del Ruteador inalmbrico: Este ruteador se conecta a internet
mediante un puerto WAN, por lo que otros dispositivos pueden conectarse al ruteador
inalmbricamente o conectarse al puerto LAN del ruteador por medio de un cable.
AP. Ruteador tradicional con cable y funcin inalmbrica: Este ruteador puede
conectarse al puerto LAN del ruteador de enlace ascendente con un cable; la terminal
del usuario puede conectarse al ruteador inalmbricamente.
Repetidor. Extiende ampliamente la seal inalmbrica: Este ruteador se puede
conectar ascendentemente al ruteador inalmbricamente; el usuario terminal puede
conectarse al ruteador mediante un cable o inalmbricamente.
ISP inlambrico. Ruteador inalmbrico que se utiliza como puerto WAN: Este ruteador
se puede conectar inalmbricamente al enlace ascendente y al mismo tiempo puede
extender inalmbricamente la seal a otros dispositivos conectados.

Modo ruteador

Establezca el parmetro inalmbrico. Es recomendable cambiar el nombre del SSID,

elija el Modo Seguro e introduzca una clave (key).
Si est seleccionado IP Dinmica, el ruteador obtiene la direccin IP automticamente
del servidor DHCP o del ISP. No necesitar configurarlo y podr continuar con la
configuracin inalmbrica.
Si selecciona PPPoE, introduzca el nombre de usuario y la contrasea otorgada por su
ISP. Estos campos admiten maysculas.
SSID: nombre de la red.
Canal: se recomienda elegir Automtico.
Modo de seguridad: Configure la seguridad inalmbrica y el cifrado para prevenir
accesos no autorizados.
D clic en Guardar y reiniciar.

Modo AP

- Establezca el parmetro inalmbrico. Es recomendable que cambie el nombre del

SSID, elija el Modo Seguro e introduzca una clave (key).
SSID: nombre de la red.
Canal: se recomienda elegir Automtico.
Modo de seguridad: Configure la seguridad inalmbrica y el cifrado para prevenir
accesos no autorizados.
- D clic en Guardar y reiniciar para reiniciar el ruteador y terminar la configuracin.

Modo Repetidor

Seleccione el SSID de la red de destino y d

clic en Seleccionar.

El SSID de la red de destino aparecer automticamente, ingrese la contrasea y

despus d clic en Guardar y reiniciar.

CONFIGURACIN INALMBRICA
BSICA
D clic en el men WiFi para que configure su
red inalmbrica de manera bsica.

Eliges el nombre de la red, el tipo de encriptacin

y la clave. D clic en Aplicar para guardar los
cambios o Cancelar para regresar al menu
principal.

AJUSTES LAN
D clic en Ajustes LAN. Se abrir la siguiente pantalla:

- Direccin IP: Introduzca la direccin IP de su router, la notacin preestablecida de fbrica

es: 192.168.10.253.
- Sub red: Cdigo de direccin que determina el tamao de la red. Normalmente usa
255.255.255.0 como mscara de subred.
- Tipo de DHCP: Servidor, Cliente o Deshabilitado.
- Si usted cambia la direccin IP de la red LAN, deber iniciar sesin del ruteador con
la nueva direccin IP.
- Si la nueva direccin IP de la red LAN que usted establezca no se encuentra en la misma
subred, el conjunto de direcciones IP del servidor DHCP cambiar en consecuencia al
mismo tiempo, mientras que el Servidor Virtual y el Host DMZ no surtirn efecto hasta que
se hayan reconfigurado.

AJUSTES BSICOS WAN

- D clic en Ajustes bsicos WAN. Se abrir la siguiente pantalla:
Si su proveedor de Internet le brinda
servicio de DHCP, elija DHCP
cliente y el ruteador obtendr
automticamente los parmetros IP
de su proveedor de Internet.

- El siguiente ejemplo es para la

configuracin PPPoE.
-Ingrese el Nombre de usuario PPPoE
y la Contrasea PPPoE que le otorg
el proveedor del servicio de Internet. El
nombre de servicio puede quedar en
blanco.
- D clic en Aplicar para guardar los
cambios y despus reinicie el ruteador.
Despus de reiniciarlo, el ruteador estar
listo para conectarse a Internet.

Si su proveedor de Internet le proporciona

una direccin IP esttica o fija, Mscara de
subred, Puerta de enlace y configuracin de
DNS, seleccione IP esttica.
Introduzca la Direccin IP / Mscara de
subred / Puerta de enlace predeterminada /
Tamao MTU / DNS primario y secundario en
notacin decimal con puntos proporcionada
por su proveedor de Internet.

Este elemento debe ser utilizado cuando los usuarios

utilizan un visitante PPTP como una direccin IP para
acceder al Internet. Debe introducir la informacin que
usted obtuvo desde su ISP.
Direccin IP: Introduzca la direccin IP del servidor.
Mscara de subred: Especifica una Mscara de
Subred para un segmento WAN.
Puerta de enlace predeterminada: Proporcionada por
su ISP.
Direccin IP del servidor: La direccin IP local de su
equipo.
Nombre de usuario: Introduzca el ID de usuario
proporcionada por su ISP.
Contrasea: Introduzca la contrasea proporcionada
por su ISP.

Tamao MTU: Los ajustes de la MTU (Unidad Mxima de Transmisin) especifica el tamao
del gran paquete permitido para la transmisin de red. La mayora de los usuarios DSL
deberan usar el valor 1492. Usted puede ajustar manualmente la UMT, y deber dejar el
valor en el rango de 1200 a 1500. Si el valor que usted ajuste no est acorde al valor de su
proveedor, podr causar problemas.

ADMINISTRACIN

Cambiar la contrasea del administrador

La contrasea predeterminada del COM-818 es admin y se muestra en el indicador de
entrada cuando se accede desde el navegador web. Usted deber cambiar la contrasea
para evitar riesgos de seguridad, esto es muy importante cuando tenga la funcin inalmbrica
habilitada.
Para cambiar la contrasea, siga estas instrucciones: D clic en Administracin, aparecer
la siguiente pantalla:

Cuando termine, d clic en Aplicar; si quiere mantener la contrasea original, d clic en

Reinicio.

A travs de esta opcin

Configuracin del administrador del ruteador

D clic en Reinicio Respaldo, localizados en la interfaz del administrador web.
Con esto puede guardar toda la configuracin del ruteador en un archivo, por lo que se
pueden hacer varios copiados de configuracin del ruteador por razones de seguridad.

Guardar ajustes de archivo: Presione Guardando y se le pedir descargar la configuracin

como archivo, puede guardarlo con diferentes nombres para versiones diferentes y
mantenerlo en un lugar seguro.
Cargar ajustes de archivo: Presione Buscar para elegir un archivo de configuracin
previamente guardado en su computadora y despus d clic en Subir para transferir el
archivo de la configuracin al ruteador. Despus de que la configuracin se haya cargado,
la configuracin del ruteador ser remplazada por ese archivo.
Reiniciar a parmetros predeterminados: D clic en Reinicializar configuraciones para
eliminar todos los ajustes que ha hecho y restaurar la configuracin del ruteador a la de
fbrica.

Actualizacin del Firmware

El software del sistema usado por este ruteador es conocido como firmware, y como con
otras aplicaciones del sistema, cuando usted remplaza la aplicacin vieja por una nueva, su
computadora tendr nuevas funciones. Tambin puede usar la funcin de actualizacin de
este firmware para aadir funciones a su ruteador, e incluso arreglar los errores.
D clic en Actualizacin de firmware. El siguiente mensaje aparecer en su pantalla.

D clic en Seleccionar archivo, se le pedir el nombre del archivo de actualizacin del

firmware. Por favor, descargue la ltima actualizacin del firmware de nuestra pgina web
y sela en su ruteador.
Despus de elegir un archivo de actualizacin del firmware, d clic en Actualizar y el
ruteador proceder a actualizarse automticamente. Esto puede tomar varios minutos, sea
paciente.
Jams cierre el navegador web o desconecte su computadora del ruteador mientras est actualizando
el firmware. Si el firmware que ha cargado se corrompe, la actualizacin fallar y tendr que regresarlo al
proveedor y pedir ayuda. (La garanta se anular si usted interrumpe el proceso de actualizacin).

- SSID: Identificador de servicios principal. Nombre de la red inalmbrica.

- Emitir SSID: Seleccione Habilitar para permitir que el dispositivo SSID sea accesible para
los clientes inalmbricos.
- Canal: Este campo determina qu frecuencia de operacin se usar. El canal por defecto
es Auto, por lo que el AP elegir el mejor canal automticamente. No es necesario cambiar
el canal inalmbrico a menos que haya interferencia con otro punto de acceso cercano.

Seguridad inalmbrica
Configure la seguridad inalmbrica y la encriptacin para prevenir el acceso no autorizado
y el monitoreo.

Cuando termine, d clic en Aplicar.

Ajustes inalmbricos avanzados

Estos ajustes son slo para usuarios ms avanzados tcnicamente, quienes tienen un
conocimiento suficiente acerca del LAN inalmbrico. Estos ajustes no deben ser cambiados
hasta que usted conozca qu efecto va tener el cambio en su AP.

Puede modificar valores como:

Umbral de fragmentos: Esto especifica el tamao mximo del paquete durante la
fragmentacin de los datos que deben transmitirse.
Umbral RTS: Puede ajustar los valores del Umbral RTS en este espacio. El rango vlido
deber ser de 0-2347 y el valor por defecto es 2347. Si un paquete de red es ms pequeo
que el tamao del umbral RTS preestablecido, el mecanismo RTS/CTS no ser activado.
Intervalo beacon (Gua de intervalo): Intervalo de tiempo de este ruteador para difundir una
gua. Una gua es usada para sincronizar la red inalmbrica.
Tipo de prembulo: Prembulo Corto es adecuado para una red inalmbrico muy
pesada. Prembulo Largo provee ms comunicacin fiable. El ajuste por defecto es Long
Preamble.
GI corto: Usando un intervalo corto de guardia puede incrementar el rendimiento. Sin
embargo, tambin puede incrementar el tipo de error en algunas instalaciones, debido al
aumento de sensibilidad de las reflexiones de radio-frecuencia.

Control de acceso
Aqu puede configurar el control de acceso inalmbrico basado en la direccin MAC.
El modo de control de acceso te da 3 opciones: Deshabilitar, Permitir enlistados, Denegar
enlistados.

Configuracin WDS
Es una funcin que permite la interconexin inalmbrica entre ruteadores o puntos de
acceso. De esta manera podremos usar el ruteador como repetidor de otra seal o para
interconectar 2 redes.

Configuracin WiFi protegido

Usted puede establecer una conexin inalmbrica entre el adaptador inalmbrico y el
ruteador usando el mtodo PIN.
La pantalla muestra el Nmero PIN propio
y el estado actual, si est habilitado o
deshabilitado.
Nmero auto-PIN: Si el nuevo dispositivo es
compatible con la configuracin protegida
Wi-Fi y el Mtodo PIN, puede agregarlo a la
red por nmero de PIN.

FIREWALL

Filtro de puertos
Active la filtracin de puerto, introduzca el Rango de puertos que desea controlar.
Haga clic en el botn Aplicar. Observar el Rango de puerto que aparece en la tabla de
filtro actual.

Filtro de IP
El filtrado de IP es un mecanismo que decide qu direcciones IP sern procesadas
normalmente y cules sern descartadas.
Active
la
filtracin
IP,
introduzca la direccin IP que
desea controlar.
Haga clic en el botn
Aplicar.
Observar

Filtro de MAC
Consiste en que slo se conecten a la red del ruteador las direcciones MAC que usted
quiera.
Active la filtracin MAC,
introduzca la direccin MAC
que desea controlar.
Haga clic en el botn Aplicar.
Observar la direccin MAC
que configur en la Tabla de
filtro actual.

Filtro de URL
Ayuda a proteger su organizacin contra las amenazas de la web y permite controlar,
supervisar y aplicar polticas de uso aceptable de la web.

Habilite la filtracin
URL,
introduzca la direccin URL que
desea controlar.
Haga clic en el botn Aplicar.
Observar la direccin URL que
configur en la Tabla de filtro

Redireccin de puertos

Algunas aplicaciones requieren que

ciertos puertos estn abiertos para
poder comunicarse con sus servidores.
Desde esta pantalla podr abrir el
Rango de puertos necesarios.

Configuracin DMZ
DMZ abre todos los puertos de una computadora / dispositivo hacia Internet. Debe ser
utilizado nicamente para un propsito en especial, ya que no contar con seguridad en
esta situacin.

Active DMZ, introduzca la direccin IP

del host DMZ que desea utilizar.
Haga clic en el botn Aplicar ajustes.

DNS dinmico

En caso de que cuente con un

servicio de DDNS, configure su
cuenta en esta pgina.

Calidad de servicio
- QoS se encarga de priorizar el ancho
de banda disponible en funcin de las
necesidades del usuario y basndose
en una serie de criterios que clasifican el
trfico.
- Puede seleccionar la activacin o
desactivacin de los controles QoS y
puede elegir que el ruteador seleccione
la velocidad de subida de manera
automtica o manualmente.
- Direccin IP: configure el rango de la
direccin IP restringida.
- Direccin MAC: configure el rango de la
direccin MAC restringida.
- Configure el valor mnimo de subida y
bajada en el ancho de banda.

2.- Electrnica Steren S.A de C.V. se compromete a reparar el producto en caso de estar defectuoso sin
ningn cargo al consumidor. Los gastos de transportacin sern cubiertos por el proveedor.
3.- El tiempo de reparacin en ningn caso ser mayor a 30 das, contados a partir de la recepcin del
producto en cualquiera de los sitios donde pueda hacerse efectiva la garanta.
4.- El lugar donde puede adquirir partes, componentes, consumibles y accesorios, as como hacer vlida esta
garanta es en cualquiera de las direcciones mencionadas posteriormente.

HOW TO USE

MODEM

LINEA

For a typical wireless setup at home (as shown above), do the following:
Youll need broadband Internet access (ADSL, modem line cable in your home or office).
Ask your ADSL or cable modem provider the proper installation of the modem.
Connect the ADSL or cable modem to the COM-818 router on the LAN input and plug the
router into the electrical outlet.
Press RESET to restart the router for 10 seconds.

Add computers to the COM-818

1. Log on to the computer (or start the computer).
2. Right click on the

icon to open Connect to a network.

3. In the list, select the COM-818 wireless network and then click Connect.
4. If requested, enter the security password or network key, and then click OK.
A confirmation message will appear when you are connected to the network.
5. To confirm that you have added the computer, run the following:
Click on Start, Control Panel, then in the search box type network; then click on view
computers and network devices. You should see icons for the computer you added and
those of other computers and devices that are part of the network.
If you dont see icons in the network folder, it is possible that for network discovery and
file sharing are turned off.

Configuration via web browser

1. Connect the mini wireless router to a wall outlet. After approximately one minute, the
mini router WLAN light turns on.
2. On your computer or other device with Internet access, go to the wireless settings
and connect to the COM-818 network. It is likely that you have to disconnect from your
current network.
If your computer requests a network PIN code or set up, click on Connect without
setting up.

3. Open the web browser and type http://192.168.10.253 in the browsers address box.
This number is the IP default address for the router.

Login screen will then appear.

- Enter the user name and
password, click OK to start the
session.
- The default user name is admin
and the password is admin.
After logging in, you can configure your router.

Add wireless computers with WPS button

1. Start the computer.
2. Press the WPS button on the Router for 2-3 seconds.
3. Press the WPS button on the wireless adapter for 2-3 seconds. Click Finish to
complete WPS configuration. (Please check the instruction manual of your wireless
adapter).

Add a computer via Ethernet cable

1. Connect the Router to an outlet. Connect your computer or laptop to the router via
RJ45 cable.
2. To verify that the computer is added, do the following:
Open Network by clicking Start > Control Panel; in the search box, type network, then,
under Network and Sharing center, click View network computers and devices. You
icons for the computer you added and for the other computers and
should see
devices that are part of the network.

How to configure the IP address on your computer or

laptop
1. Start the computer.
2. Click Start > Control Panel > View network Status and Tasks > Manage Network;
then right-click on Local Area Network > Properties. When the Local Area Connection
Properties window appears, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and then
click Properties.
3. Set IP address manually: Enter 192.168.10.x (x is from 2 to 252), and the subnet mask
255.255.255.0. Enter the LAN IP address of the router (the default is 192.168.10.253)
in the Gateway field.

WIZARD
After you log in successfully, configure your
router on the Wizard quick menu.
Choose the operating mode you need, and
then click Next.

Router. Standard wireless router mode: This router connects to Internet by WAN port,
and then other terminal devices can connect to this router by wireless connection or
connect to this routers LAN port with a cable.
AP. Traditional wired router realize wireless function: This router can connect to uplink
routers LAN port by wired connection, user terminal can connect to this router by
wireless connection.
Repeater. Extend wireless signal comprehesively: This router can connect to uplink
wireless router by wireless connection, user terminal can connect to this router by wired
or wireless connection.
WISP. Wireless used as WAN port: This router can connect to uplink wireless router by
wireless connection, at the same time, it can extend wireless signal for other devices
connection.

Router mode

Set the wireless parameter. It is recommended to change the name of the SSID, choose
Safe mode and enter a password (key).
If dynamic IP is selected, the router obtains the IP address automatically DHCP server
or ISP. You dont need to configure it and you can continue with the wireless settings.
If you selected PPPoE, enter the user name and password provided by your ISP. These
fields support capital letters.
SSID: Networks name
Channel: Automatic is recommended
Security mode: Configure wireless security and encryption to prevent unauthorized
access.
Click Save and reboot.

AP mode

- Set the wireless parameter. It is recommended that you change the name of the SSID,
choose Safe mode and enter a password (key).

- Click Save and reboot to reboot the router and finish the configuration.

Repeater mode

Select the SSID of the network of destination

and click on select.

The SSID of the network destination will appear automatically, type the password and
then click on Save and reboot.

Wireless ISP

Select the SSID of the access point you want to

access and click on select.

The SSID of the network destination will appear automatically; choose a password and
click Save and reboot.

WIRELESS BASIC SETTINGS

Click on the Wi-Fi menu for basic setup of your

wireless network.

Choose the network name, the encryption type

and the password. Click on Apply to save the
changes or Cancelar to go to the main menu.

LAN BASIC SETTING

Click LAN Basic Setting. The following screen will appear:

- IP address: Enter the IP address of your router, the factory preset is: 192.168.10.253.
- Sub network: address code that determines the size of the network. Normally use
255.255.255.0 as the subnet mask.
- Type of DHCP server, client, or disabled.

- If you change the IP address of the LAN must log of the router with the new IP address.
- If the new IP address on the LAN that you set are not on the same subnet, the IP addresses
set from the DHCP server change accordingly at the same time, while Virtual Server and
DMZ Host will not take effect until they have been reconfigured.

WAN BASIC SETTING

Click WAN Basic Setting. The following screen will appear:
If your ISP provides DHCP service,
choose DHCP client and the router
will automatically obtain the IP
parameters from your ISP.

- The following example is for setting

up PPPoE.
- Enter the PPPoE user name and
password which was given by the
Internet service provider. The service
name may be blank.
- Click apply to save the changes, and
then restart the router. After reset, the
router will be ready to connect to the
Internet.

If your ISP gives you a static or fixed IP

address, subnet mask, gateway and DNS
settings, select static IP.
Enter the IP address / Subnet mask / default
gateway / MTU size / primary and secondary
DNS in dotted-decimal notation provided by
your Internet service provider.

This item should be used when users use a PPTP

client as well as a static IP address to access the
Internet. You should input the information that you get
from your ISP.
IP Address: the local IP address of your computer.
Subnet mask: Specify a Subnet Mask for your WAN
segment.
Default Gateway: provided by your ISP.
Direccin IP del servidor: La direccin IP local de su
equipo.
User ID: input the user ID provided by your ISP.
Password: input password provided by your ISP.

MTU: The MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) setting specifies the largest packet size
permitted for network transmission. Most DSL users should use the value 1492.You can set
the MTU manually, and you should leave this value in the 1200 to 1500 range. If the value
you set is not in accord with the value of your service provider, it may causes problems.

MANAGEMENT
Change the administrator password
COM-818 default password is admin and is displayed in the indicator when accessed
from the web browser. You should change the password to avoid security risks, this is very
important when you have the wireless function enabled.
To change the password, follow these instructions: give click Administration, the following
screen appears:

When you are finished, click Apply; if you want to keep the original password, click on
Reset.

Time zone
Here you can adjust and
save the time zone, and
update the time.

Router manager configuration

Click backup and reset, located in the web admin interface.
With this you can save all the settings of the router into a file, so several copied can be the
router configuration for security reasons.

Save file settings: press Save and you will be asked to download the configuration as a file,
can save it with different names for different versions and keep it in a safe place.
Load file settings: press Browse to choose a configuration file previously saved on your
computer and then click on Upload to transfer the file of configuration to the router. Once
the configuration has been loaded, the configuration of the router will be replaced by that file.
Reset to defaults: click on Reset to defaults to remove all the settings made and restore
the router to the factory settings.

Firmware upgrade
The software of the system used by this router is known as firmware, and as with other
applications of the system, when you replace the old application with a new one, your
computer will have new features. You can also use this firmware update function to add
functionality to your router, and even fix the errors.
Click firmware update. The following message will appear on your screen.

Give click on select file, you will be asked the name of the firmware upgrade file. Please,
download the latest firmware from our website and use it in your router.
After choosing a firmware update file, give the router and click on Update will be updated
automatically. This can take several minutes, be patient.
Never close your web browser or disconnect your computer from the router while you are upgrading the
firmware. If the firmware was loaded is corrupt, the update will fail and will have to return it to the supplier
and ask for help. (The warranty is void if you interrupt the update process).

Advance Setting

Configure the network protocols via

In this menu you can configure the

network IP address and MAC address.
Click Apply to save the changes and
then restart the router.

This displays the IP address for devices currently connected.

WIRELESS
Basic settings
You can configure a minimum
number of wireless settings for
communication, such as the
network name (SSID) and channel.
The access point can be configured
simply with minimum configuration
elements.

- SSID: Main service identifier. The name of the wireless network.

- Broadcast SSID: Select Enable to enable that the devices SSID is accessible to wireless
clients.
- Channel number: this field determines which operating frequency will be used. The channel
by default is Auto, so the AP will choose the best channel automatically. It is not necessary
to change the wireless channel unless there is interference with other nearby access point.

Wireless Security
Configure wireless security and encryption to prevent unauthorized access and monitoring.

When you are finished, click Apply.

Wireless Advanced Settings

These settings are only for more technically advanced users who have sufficient knowledge
about wireless LAN. These settings should not be changed until you know what effect the
change will hace on your AP.

You can change:

Fragment Threshold: This specifies the maximum size of the package during the
fragmentation of data to be transmitted.
RTS Threshold: You can adjust the RTS Threshold here. The valid range should be
0-2347 and the default range is 2347. If a network package is smaller than the preset RTS
Threshold, the RTS/CTS mechanism will not be activated.
Beacon Interval: It is the time interval of this router to broadcast a guide. A guide is used
to synchronize the wireless network. The valid range is 20-1024 ms, the default one is 100.
Preamble Type: Short Preamble is suitable for heavy wireless network. Long Preamble
provides a more reliable communication. The default is Long Preamble.
Short GI: Using a short guard interval can increase the performance. However, it also
may increase the error rate in some installations due to increased sensitivity of the
radio-frequency reflections.

Access Control
Setup the wireless access control based on the MAC address.
The access control has 3 options: Disable, Allow listed and Deny listed.

Schedule

Enables the wireless schedule,

program the day and the time
you want to enable or disable
the wireless network in the
router.

WDS settings
Allows wireless interconnection between routers or access points. This way we can use the
router as a repeater of another signal or to interconnect 2 networks.

Wi-Fi Protected Setup

You can establish a wireless connection between wireless adapter and the router using the
PIN method.
The display shows the Self-PIN Number and
the Current state, if it is enable or disable.

Self-PIN number: If the new device is compatible

with the Wi-Fi Protected Setup PIN method, you
can add it to the network by PIN number.

FIREWALL
Port Filtering

Enable port filtering, enter the Port range you want to control.
Click on Apply. The port range will appear in the current filter table.

IP filtering
The IP filtering decides which IP addresses will be normally processed and wich are
discarded.
Enable the IP filtering, enter
the IP address you want to
control.
Click on Apply. You will
notice the IP addresses
configured on the current
filter table.

MAC Filtering
With this you can control the MAC addresses you want to connect to the routers network.
Enable MAC filtering, enter

URL Filtering
It helps protect your organization against web threats and to control, monitor and enforce
acceptable use policies of the web.

Port Forwarding

Some applications require certain ports

to be openin order to communicate with
their servers.
Here you will be able to open the range
of ports required.

DMZ
It opens all the ports of a computer/device to the Internet. It should be only used for a special
purpose, because there will not be security able in this situation.

Enable DMZ, enter the DMZ

host IP address you want to
