Ferdinand N . Göhde
Ferdinand Nicolas Göhde, PhD, studied history, political science, public law and Italian studies at the universities of Freiburg (Germany), Pisa and Berlin (Freie Universität). In 2014 he defended his PhD dissertation on German soldiers in the armed groups of the (Anti-)Risorgimento (1834–1870) at the Department of History and Civilisation of the European University Institute in Florence. He is a regular member of the following scientific associations: German group of the Istituto per la Storia del Risorgimento Italiano, Vittoriano/Rome; Arbeitsgemeinschaft für die Neueste Geschichte Italiens, Germany; Association for the Study of Modern Italy, UK; American Association of Italian Studies, US; Society for Italian Historical Studies, US. He has published in several languages (German, English, Italian, French).
