Campaign for Palestinian Poet and Songwriter Yaser Hamad
Hello All,
My friend @mariampoetry wanted to host a donation campaign for Yaser Hamad!
Yaser is a Rafah native and a prolific poet, writing songs for big name Palestinians singers like Muhammad Assaf (who sang the iconic song, "Dammi Falastini")! Here's a song he wrote for Assaf called "Ya Banat Bladna," which praises the girls and women of Palestine and their steadfastness.
Yaser's fiance was killed early on in the genocide and now he lives in a tent with his two daughters. Within the coming week by Sunday April 6th, we hope to raise $1000 USD to send to Yaser's family.
For those who are not aware, Mariam, the organizer, is a dear friend of mine in real life and a renowned Palestinian poet herself. She has been doing these donation campaigns to raise money for various friends of hers in Gaza, focusing on highlighting artists and their amazing talent. She has successfully sent money to multiple Palestinian artists through these campaign drives and hopes that everyone would be willing to help out with another campaign.
Please do donate if you can, or even just spread the word!
If you've been following our poetry writing at all, or if you've been interested and intrigued by our recent discussions on Plurality, I encourage you to preorder a copy of our FIRST FULL LENGTH BOOK OF POETRY, which launches TODAY FOR PREORDERS

Hazem @albardawillhazem95 lost his entire family during the genocidal war, including his wife and children. He is currently alone, with only few of his neighbors able to survive.
A GFM was created last year but the campaign organizer did not give him the 14k raised from there and so Hazem had to start all over. The new campaign has already been verified by Hussein (el-shab-hussein) and is moving very slowly.
This is Hazem in his tiny dwelling, with what little he has left of his family, as his house was also destroyed during the settler state's bombardment of his area. Please support Hazem. Isolation is already very difficult to deal with in so-called normal circumstances and Hazem has to do this while facing ordeals most of us cannot even imagine, especially with the renewed war.
I am very frustrated and hungry. My family has only eaten a little of dameged food for three days, so please donate or share. I have started a fundraising campaign and it is the only way to help my family, please don't ignore my message 🙏😭😭
Foreigners associating any arabic songs with islam is always funny to me, it's such a strange thing in general, imagine if we did that with other religions
I was just listening to taylor swift and it made me feel like such good christian I am not even american or a christian but shake it off puts the spirit of christ in my body
