12) Is your OC self-destructive? In what ways?

kalsar is cautious and anxious and terribly cynical; he was alone before his imprisonment, and now that he’s ‘freed’, he has even more freedom to indulge his self-destructive behaviour. his only saving grace being that he no longer has opportunity to hurt the ones he loves most, and if there’s no one to miss you, does it even matter if you isolate your heart from the world?

for runa, it’s her impulsiveness and toxic relationships. she leads with a very powerful sense of justice; she’s willing to sacrifice her life for a cause, for someone innocent in harm’s way, to uphold her faith and morals.

unfortunately, this is often her justification for enduring abusive relationships that offer nothing beyond a frequent barrage against her self-esteem. girl cannot draw a boundary with a loved one to save her life. :/

23) What emotion is the hardest for your OC to process? How about express?

for kalsar, it’s love. trust. he can’t depend on anyone, which is why he’s such a skilled handyman, trained to look after every conceivable need and require no one’s aid.

on the other hand, runa masks her sorrow and fears. everyone assumes she’s fearless, as if it doesn’t haunt her that every life she’s stolen sharpens her into a weapon and sheds away her humanity. she isn’t just afraid of monsters—she’s afraid she’s one of them.
