Summary of Changes
Hello @iennae, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!
This pull request addresses an issue where the header checker linter was incorrectly attempting to validate license headers in various GitHub configuration files. By updating the linter's configuration to ignore these specific files, the PR resolves false positive linting errors and streamlines the CI process. This change is noted as a fix for a check that is in the process of being deprecated.
Highlights
- Configuration Update: Added several GitHub configuration files to the
ignoreFiles
list within.github/header-checker-lint.yml
. This prevents the header checker from flagging these files, which do not typically contain license headers.

Code Review
This pull request correctly updates the header checker configuration to ignore several files that do not contain headers. My review includes one suggestion to sort the list of ignored files alphabetically to improve the long-term maintainability of this configuration file.
- '.github/auto-label.yaml'
- '.github/auto-approve.yml'
- '.github/renovate.json5'
- '.github/snippet-bot.yml'
- '.github/stale.yml'
- '.github/sync-repo-settings.yaml' |

For improved maintainability and readability, please keep this list of ignored files sorted alphabetically. This makes it easier to manage as more files are added in the future.
In this case, .github/auto-approve.yml
should come before .github/auto-label.yaml
.
- '.github/auto-approve.yml'
- '.github/auto-label.yaml'
- '.github/renovate.json5'
- '.github/snippet-bot.yml'
- '.github/stale.yml'
- '.github/sync-repo-settings.yaml'
