When a user selects Create Workspace, they are taken to the Templates page with no instructions on what to do next. They will be left thinking:

Now what? Do I have to create a template? Do I select an existing one?

Now What?.png

We should provide them with instructions on what to do such as "To create a new workspace, create or select a template." or a flow that walks them through it.

Folks, about the “Workspace creation flow” I think what should happen when the user clicks on “Create new workspace”:

  • Show the create modal
  • We should add a “Select template” field
  • After selecting the template, the other fields are going to be loaded and displayed on the screen.

Right now, you have to:

  • Click on the “Create new workspace” button
  • The user is redirected to the “Templates” page
  • Click on a template
  • Click in the “Create new workspace”, “again”
  • The create page will be finally loaded.

I think we can satisfactorily resolve this issue just with explanatory text.

I think what we have right now is good enough and IMO, we can close this ticket. cc: @tjcran @kylecarbs
