  • Ensure that your contributions pass unit testing.
  • Ensure that your contributions contain documentation if applicable.

Description

Travis builds can take an hour to start because they limit open source builds so much. Switch to GitHub Actions to provide the same functionality with faster feedback.

Travis does offer a new OpenSource model with faster build start times, but it is unlikely that the offering will remain free.

What Changed

  • .github/workflows/continuous_integration.yml: defines the GitHub Actions CI build
  • README.md: replace the Travis build badge with the GitHub Actions build badge
  • .travis.yml: removed
  • tests/units/test_git_path.rb: Do not assume a Windows drive letter. The test assumed drive 'C:' but GitHub Actions run on 'D:'
