HR Community of Practice
Together we do
We are an active group of campus HR managers across academic and administrative departments, who share the responsibility of HR policy that aligns with the mission, vision, values, and priorities of the University of Washington.
The HR CoP includes HR managers for both academic personnel and staff from across our Seattle, Tacoma, and Bothell campuses. We come together to learn new and changing policy, understand important information to be cascaded within their organizations locally, share leading practices, and discuss emergent topics.
The community gathers twice per month – once for a focus on policy and practice, and the second for in-depth discussions. Membership includes opportunities for growth, participation, leadership and peer networking. The community Teams site also provides HR managers with a community of shared expertise across a breadth of HR disciplines.

University of Washington Human Resources is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification activities.
