There are many different squat variations you can do on the smith machine, I like this one for biasing the glutes! 

✅ position your feet shoulder width apart and slightly in front of you

✅ as you squat down your knees should be at 90 degrees, and should not be travelling over your toes. 

✅ keep your chest up, shoulders down and back, and make sure your maintaining a neutral spine
