ABSTRACT The paper presents the structural modeling of the wind's influence over the heat... more ABSTRACT The paper presents the structural modeling of the wind's influence over the heat flow of a greenhouse, starting from recorded data of an experimental greenhouse. A structural model is much more versatile than a synthetic one, however greenhouses are complicated and highly non-linear, and therefore such a model should be built by aggregating several elementary sub-models with physical significance. The paper is aiming to identify a sub-model for the windy dry nights. The modeling method consists in the identification of the sub-models with low order systems with nonlinear coefficients and their optimization using genetic algorithms. The knowledge of the wind's influence over the thermal behavior of buildings and vehicles help us to improve the designing of such products. Two case studies are presented: a passive greenhouse provided with a heat pump/wind generator renewable energy source and a railway coach. The simplicity of such models encourages implementations at micro-controllers /DSP levels.

The baseline controller is a guaranteed performance fuzzy model based parallel distributed controller (PDC) which is constructed using the nominal system’s parameters. The model approximation error and parametric uncertainties are treated as a lumped disturbance and a nonlinear disturbance observer (NDOB) is introduced to counter the lumped disturbance. The applicability of the proposed scheme is demonstrated on the bilateral control of nonlinear teleoperation system in MATLAB/Simulink/QUARC environment through simulations as well as semi-real time experiments.

State convergence [15] and its extended version [17] are novel design methods which will assure t... more State convergence [15] and its extended version [17] are novel design methods which will assure the required dynamical system response and remove unwanted effects of the teleoperation systems modeled on the state space along with the synchronization of leader/follower devices. This paper discusses the scheme of dual-leader-dual-follower teleoperation system in detail. The design procedure requires 8n+4 parameters to be determined as compared to 3n+1 in case of single-leader-single-follower teleoperation system, where n is order of the leader/follower device. The feasibility of the proposed scheme to control a dual-leader-dual-follower teleoperation system over delay-less link is studied through simulations in MATLAB/Simulink environment. It is found that each master device can affect the motion of each slave device to a desired degree. Furthermore, the aim of getting requisite performance of the system also achieved while maintaining synchronization between leader/follower to common reference motion of all the leader devices.

The tests were performed using an experimental program designed after a central, rotatable second order compound program with two independent variables CRSCP2IV. The mathematical models of the bio-scouring processes are needed for the optimization of the process parameters. Special knowledge is needed to operate such programs. That is why we also used a simpler yet effective software tool for modeling and decision making, including process optimization, the Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) from Matlab environment. The experimental data processed according to CRSCP2IV in Mathcad were processed in parallel with FIS in Matlab, which has high compatibility with all the important data processing and automate control products and offers numerous dedicated tools.
Assessing the quality of food products is very subjective, based on the personal perceptions of t... more Assessing the quality of food products is very subjective, based on the personal perceptions of the judges. That is why the fuzzy sets and logic are very often used in such cases. However, the fuzzy dedicated software is not very accessible, especially for non-specialists. That is why we developed an assessing/sorting procedure that consists of the simple statistical calculus of scores for each sensory attributes of the product, and the weighted adding of the scores in order to obtain a global quality assessment. Fuzzy processing appears only when setting the weights of each attribute, by introducing fuzzy weights for each sensory attribute. This procedure was implemented by Matlab script functions and applied for the case of a local product of the Arad region of Romania, the Pecica traditional bread.
Emails are a very important part of our life today for information sharing. It is used for both p... more Emails are a very important part of our life today for information sharing. It is used for both personal communication as well as business purposes. But the internet also opens up the prospect of an enormous amount of junk and useless information which overwhelms and irritates us. These unnecessary and unsolicited emails are what comprise of spam. This study presents the application of a classification model to classify spam emails from using a model- Deep Support Vector Machine (Deep SVM). Moreover, other classifier models like Support Vector Machine (SVM), Artificial Neural Network models have also been implemented to compare the performance of proposed Deep SVM model. Furthermore analysis has been done to compare all the performances using available numerical statistics obtained from these models to find the best model for the purpose. Spam filtering is a very essential feature in most email services and thus effective spam classification models are pertinent to the current digital communication scenario and various work has been done in this area.

The benchmark study is referring to the car following algorithm issue. A new distance gap planner is proposed. The planner is designed on the base of the constant time to collision criterion. The constant time to collision method perform almost similarly to the existing methods but can be implemented much easier by interpolative networks, and can coordinate in a safe manner the whole traffic flow
This paper is discussing the ecological reconstruction opportunity opened by the extended use of ... more This paper is discussing the ecological reconstruction opportunity opened by the extended use of the energetic passive greenhouses, independent of any conventional infrastructure (water, gas, electricity). A specific passive greenhouse configuration is considered: the main heating device is a heat pump extracting energy from cold underground water. A dc wind generator is supplying the small amount of energy necessary for the recirculation of the water. Solar panels are also included. The extensive use of passive greenhouses could significantly change the future agriculture: the replacement of the huge cereal cultivated surfaces by forests, orchards and pastures. This way the Earth vegetal matter will substantially increase the absorption of the CO2 from the atmosphere. A structural model of the passive greenhouse is proposed.
