These letters and words have drawen the attention ofthe scholars from early years of Islam to our own time. Scholars have made variouscomments on the meaning and significance of them, but it is important to note thatsome of these interpretations are far from their actual meanings. This article primarelyfocuses on the meanings of these letters and words from classical period to modernscholarship. In addition to this, it also re-evaluates these interpretations and placesemphasis on some important meanings in relation with their Qur'anic context.
