It was important for us to understand these trends, their characteristics and graphics, to create many times beautiful masterpieces of art. We have noticed a lot of differences between these two art movements related to symbols, signs and colours which were used. It was 'a special art travel' to study, theoretically and practically, the field of logo design connected to these ages. Starting from our research study, we have tried to make 'a basket' of features which characterises each trend. We have tried to explain the diversity of elements used as an art graphic design focused on logos. And, of course, we have tried to create logos using the features of Art Nouveau and Art Deco.

We have known it since the earliest beginnings of human existence. Freed, stereotyped and elevated above the primitive level, the human mind encounters creativity. It encompasses intellectual thinking, problem solving and challenges, and with its homologous heritage, raises man as an individual and the entire civilisation to a level higher than the very beginnings. The aim of this research is to generate a design that can be followed for creativity. Information is needed for creativity. However, the classic form of information and creation has been replaced by computer technology. It is almost impossible to follow the course of development of the branch and the progress of all human activities. In a sea of new information and data, we are losing the thread and have to opt for a narrowly specialised area or areas that we monitor. A large selection of communications and ideas slowly leads us into chaos. As much as it seems to us that the channels of creativity and opportunities for innovation are enriched, we also encounter the problem of overload. Creativity in 'design' translates into creating software with many capabilities, and a true designer is a programmer who designs features and a program for a particular branch of design. The goal of design is not commercialism, but quality and progress, making life easier, instead of creating imaginary desires and needs for the offered product.

It is a small part of our study including only research about images, characters, messages and words (title and text) used to create a mobilising movement of the people during these wars. The purpose was to select elements from the advertisements and pictorial posters and to comment upon the impact of the graphic messages included. During our work, we have identified many interesting things which had the target to mobilise one person against another using graphics and words with a strong patriotic message. This paper presents the interpretation for only a few posters and advertisements (about 48), but relevant for war propaganda.

Even though it was formed by the qualitative research method and comes from the background of writing, in time, autoethnography crossed paths with the practice of visual expression. The reasons for this intersection are the variety of representations in the 1990s when the processes of literary and visual research went hand in hand. The fact that artists, through the concept of autoethnography, turned into researchers who describe their own forms of production has enabled the concept to be discussed in a variety of fields. This study on the autoethnographic approach in the experience of art is based on samples from the works of Pia Arke and Mehtap Morkoç's production practices to illustrate autoethnography and the place of autoethnography in the practice of representation.

Graphic Design has always taken a stand towards positive thinking by enhancing creative reactions to the challenging conditions (conditions in which there is no physical human connection, movement is restricted, concerns increase, etc.) that human beings have faced up so far and has supported the idea of the world that is trying to heal. The aim of this study is to examine the communication power that graphic design has created during the pandemic process by inspecting the current works of a common language which has been put forward as a graphic language in order to be united in the name of graphic design, both in the information charts of the coronavirus in the name of graphic design and in this troubled process of the world. In this study, the reaction, contribution and support, which have been developed by Graphic design for the COVID-19 pandemic process, were examined and samples were presented from designers by examining illustrations, posters, infographics, graphic products and so on, which have been made around the world. In addition to this, creative problem solutions and the role of graphic design have also been explored for solving these problems.

The ontology of human resistance accentuates its existence through several expressive means with ... more The ontology of human resistance accentuates its existence through several expressive means with the most important being art, as art transforms the question of resistance into a self-practice that starts with the artists and transfers between the inside and the outside in a continuous, creative, effective mutual relationship, in order to emphasise the battle of existence conflict, ideology and epistemology within the general framework of power. This philosophic analysis is based on the hypotheses of having a multilateral factor that continues with the past legacy on one hand and interprets the present while overpassing it on the other. This is to create a state of creativity that represents the intellectual, emotional, cognitive and historical inventory while posing a situation of continuous wondering among individuals and groups. This artistic state unifies the indicators of symbolisations and makes resistance represented in a contemporary visual discourse that rejects dominance. It also accentuates the identity and transforms the theoretical intellectual question into a practised anthological act that is featured of permanent activity as a perpetual act towards liberation and reproducing self-existence.

The possibilities that technology provides completed the effort of the postmodernist discourse in art to destroy tradition. All values are being reconstructed. While art is rapidly being digitised, Performance Art has taken its places in art's agenda. In this article, performance art will be elaborated and analysed with a focus on ceramic art. Performance art is the life itself, it is not repetitive, and it is what happens presently. It communes with the audience. As the object of art that exists at the moment, it cannot be bought, sold or moved. It is a way of transmitting the artist's ideas in an unusual, striking and unmediated way that is different from the traditional art forms. In the performances, it is mostly seen that breaking traditional forms, using the clay in raw form rather than firing it, reflecting the plasticity of the clay and revitalising it are used as assets. Performance art is a model of rebellion against the era in which we are imprisoned in mass communication and distanced from reality under the image bombardment. It is necessary to see the performance art as an experiment or suggestion, as the object of art which exists presently, rather than as a show to meet expectations.

Mnemosyne in Greek mythology was the daughter of Gaea and Uranus, and the mother of the nine Muse... more Mnemosyne in Greek mythology was the daughter of Gaea and Uranus, and the mother of the nine Muses, whose father was Zeus. She was the personification of memory and was connected in this way to the arts, as artists recalled primordial memories to draw inspiration for their creations. 'damnatio memoriae', the Roman punishment meaning condemnation of memory, was an official sanction, successful in wiping out the memory of any individual who was convicted of being a tyrant, a traitor, or another sort of enemy of the state. The images of such condemned persons had to be destroyed, their names erased from inscriptions, and every element concerning their public presence was purged. In some cases, the residence of the condemned could be destroyed, and if the person was already dead, his grave was demolished and his last will nullified. Nowadays, the condemnation of memory could be connected to a series of incidents selected to be erased from the public conscience as if they have never happened, although they represent historical or even ordinary events-genocides, wars, migration flows, gender-based violence and others. This paper focuses on the contemporary condemnation of memory using Art as a methodological tool. We argue that art represents a way to investigate current circumstances that aim to wipe out collective memory. We probe these expressive forms that derive from historically transformed roles and compile these facts that are consigned to oblivion.

It starts with primitive cave paintings passed through the ancient civilisations, then followed by the main art movements and styles and ends with the contemporary style landscape paintings. Future prospects and expectations for landscape representations were also considered. It was found that landscape representation has been the focus for most artists because of its link to their normal lives. In the primitive caves, illustrations of plants and animals were found covering caves' walls. Landscape backgrounds were used in the ancient Egyptian civilisation and lost its significance in the Greece style to reappear with the Roman artists with special concern and perspective. The Renaissance era witnessed more progress in landscape paintings' subjects and perspective. Baroque paintings initiated the focus on independent landscape paintings to be crystalised in the Romantic paintings and later on in the impressionists' art works using distinctive painting techniques. The modernists approved landscape topic in their paintings to apply their unique techniques, whereas the contemporary landscape paintings have adopted abstract and free methods in employing various materials and colours. It is obvious that the landscape subject has been employed throughout all stages of art history because it is the key segment of their environment and life not only because of its aesthetic values. Realistic landscape representation in visual art and design is expected to progress in abundance in the near and far future as many people due to the pandemic circumstances have been deprived from naturally experiencing landscapes causing mental and health difficulties.

The study group of this research includes 307 people consisting of 60-72-month-old children continuing their kindergarten in Cukurova district of Adana and their parents. As data collection tools, 'Personal Information Form', 'Informed Consent Form' and 'Toy Preference Form' were prepared by the researchers to learn the toy preferences of the children after reviewing the relevant thesis. The 'Aggression Tendency Scale' and 'Play Skill Scale' were used. In accordance with the studies carried out, it is seen that the play skills of the participants differ according to the aggression tendency levels in all sub-dimensions of the aggression tendency scale and there is a negative interrelation. In addition to this, it is seen that the most preferred toys among the children with a high aggression tendency level in all sub-dimensions of the aggression tendency scale are the war toys. It is suggested to make attempts for the determination of the variables effective on the aggression tendency levels and play skills, realisation of more scientific researches regarding the issue of aggression that might have devastating results in social terms and the development of the play skills of the experts working with the children.

Preventive measures of social distancing and quarantine have led to classes being given virtually (online), and in this scenario research is emerging that focuses on the educational challenges of teachers. The DIFPRORET project, educational difficulties, activities and challenges in confinement is applied to a sample of 200 teachers, with a qualitative method and methodological strategy of content analysis. The findings show the difficulty in the use of platforms, understanding of distance education, creative action and the generation gap with 64.26%. With this, a hierarchical map is expressed that gives account of three significant constructs: didactic operation, progressive learning and curricular innovation, which allows us to conclude that under these constructs translate the perceptions of teachers on educational challenges.

The Metropolitan University of Tirana (UMT) in Albania took a rapid decision for shifting to online education by estimating that the pandemic might continue longer than expected, which could create difficulties to gain the time lost. Considering these circumstances, UMT immediately formed a specialised team to prepare the roadmap for starting online education. This team evaluated the existing online platforms and prepared a guideline to be followed for a smooth shift. As a consequence, the university shifted to online education with more than 80% of the students' attendance from the earliest days. This study presents the road map that was developed rapidly and applied effectively for a quick but smooth shift to online education.

The unified holistic-synthetic mode is found to be pertinent to emotionally stable individuals and consecutive analytical ones compared to the emotional vulnerable ones. The technique can be used for monitoring the emotional states of students and accounting for them in the process of teaching.
