Bollywood long dominated the scholarly discourse on Indian cinema, leading to a notable gap in understanding the nuanced dynamics of South Indian regional Cinema's and its ascent to the popularity on the pan-Indian Stage. This study addresses this gap by examining how Pan-Indian South Cinema, exemplified by landmark films such as the "Baahubali" series, "Robo 2.0," "K.G.F. 1," "K.G.F. 2," and "R.R.R." navigates and celebrates its diverse regional identities while resonating with audiences across diverse linguistic and cultural boundaries present in India. Utilizing a methodological approach that integrates textual and content analysis, this research looks at the compositional elements and other factors that contributed to the success of these films on the Pan-Indian stage. The study elucidates the intrinsic factors contributing to Pan-Indian South cinema's success and enduring appeal through a critical lens. By combining innovative cinematic practices and merging the cast of regional and Bollywood Cinema, Pan-Indian South cinema has emerged as a new hybrid cinema, offering audiences narratives often rooted in local cultures and traditions of south India, yet resonating with the Pan-Indian audience. The findings of this inquiry not only enrich our understanding of Pan-Indian Cinema but also shed light on the complexities of cinematic productions and creative choices crucial for their success. Ultimately, this research contributes to a more comprehensive appreciation of India's diverse cinematic traditions and underscores Pan-Indian South Cinema's significance as a vibrant, hybrid and influential force in contemporary Indian Cinema.

The study synthesizes insights from the 'Baahubalisation' phenomenon, scrutinizing its democratizing effects on the Indian cinematic landscape. Employing a methodological approach involving a critical review of existing perspectives on Pan-Indian cinema, the paper navigates the intricate interplay of viewpoints, cultural authenticity, and industry dynamics.
A key focus is the shifting dynamics in the recognition of regional cinemas, with specific attention to the influential role of South Indian blockbusters in reshaping the dominant narratives. The emergence of cultural authenticity as a central theme is explored with filmmakers representing regional identities on a global scale. The analysis also delves into nuanced shifts in industry dynamics, mainly through cross-regional collaborations that challenge established norms. Noteworthy is the acknowledgement of South Indian stars on a Pan-Indian platform, signifying a departure from previous oversights and recognizing the diverse talent contributing to the cinematic tapestry.
As a result, the study offers valuable insights into the evolving nature of Indian cinema and the impact of South Indian films on the broader Pan-Indian narrative. Future research avenues are proposed, including the exploration of streaming platforms' impact on audience preferences, an investigation into the convergence of technology and storytelling, and an examination of the ongoing transformation of the industry landscape. This critical review establishes a foundation for a comprehensive re-evaluation of Pan-Indian cinema and also attempts to trace the beginnings of pan-Indian narrative from the regional cinema in Indian cinema history, fostering a nuanced understanding of the changing cinematic dynamics in India and engaging stakeholders in an ongoing conversation that embraces the diversity of voices within the broader concept of Pan-Indian cinema.

Themes such as mediated intimacy and sociality, pandemic ideology, politicians’ curated authenticity and discursive constructions of self, and playbour and resistance in digital games are examined in five original articles, while three autoethnographic contributions explore the concepts of mediated presence, collectivity, contemplative community, loneliness and relationality. The autoethnographies – in the form of short film, collage and poetry vignettes, respectively – add a personal experiential layer to the broader themes. To generate (mediated) interpersonal dialogue, two artists/academics engage deeply with the autoethographies, further reflecting on the themes explored therein. The issue concludes with an interview with Professor Andreas Hepp, of the University of Bremen, who comments on the contributions and reflects on...

India is going through such a transition in this Information age, especially after the jio effect (Ghosh, 2019), which has bought millions of online by providing free High speed 4G data for more than six months as an introductory offer to increase its subscribers, both urban and rural Indian youth were quick to take advantage of the offer as youth instinctively understood the present environment (McLuhan, 1967). As of August 2021, India is the second-largest online market in the world with over 749 million internet users, internet access and use largely vary in the country due to the socio-economic divide and the number of users varied greatly among the urban and rural population (keelery, 2021). 90% of the internet users in India are on social networking sites; most of them are between 18 to 24 years of age (Keelery, Number of social network users India 2015-2040, 2021).Passive browsing social networking sites (SNSs) correlates with poorer wellbeing (Verduyn, et al., 2015). However, less research is conducted that examined the impact of social networking usage on the psychological wellbeing of Indian youth and compared rural and urban social networking usage. For a diverse sample of college students (N = 629, Mage = 21, SDage = 46.2% female), for this study social networking usage is considered as the amount of time spent on SNSs in a day and how long they have been using SNSs (in years).while the amount of time sent on SNSs has an impact on rural Indian youth, how long they have been on SNSs has an impact on psychological wellbeing of the urban Indian youth and neither the amount of time or how long they are using SNSs has impacted the semi- urban Indian youth.

The study reexamines the path suggested, during the Covid-19 crisis by quantitatively examining the Impact of passive Instagram use on the psychological well-being and the mediating roles of social comparison and FoMO of Emerging Indian Female Adults aged 18 to 25 years who are at a critical stage of personality development [1] during the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic. The results of the study deviate from the path suggested [2] and While social comparison does not predict passive Instagram usage, FoMO predicts social comparison and mediates social comparison and psychological well-being during the pandemic.
