Changsha Metro (Chinese: 长沙地铁; pinyin: Chángshā Dìtiě) is a metro system in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan province in China. The first operational line, Line 2, started service on April 29, 2014.[1]

Line 2 is also known as Huangxing Line, runs from west to east Changsha. It was opened on 29 April 2014 and extended in December 2015. This line is 26.579 km long with 23 stations.

Line 1 construction began in 2010 and is expected to be completed in late 2014.[1] Line 1 will have a line length of 23.55 kilometres (14.63 mi) with 20 stations, of which 1 is elevated and 19 are underground.[2] The construction budget is 14.2 billion RMB.[1]
