Olkhovatsky District (Russian: Ольхова́тский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,045 square kilometers (403 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Olkhovatka.[1] Population: 24,218 (2010 Census);[4] 25,841 (2002 Census);[7] 26,386 (1989 Census).[8] The population of Olkhovatka accounts for 15.7% of the district's total population.[4]
