memes 👌

@kirbys-lover

hello! I am kirby's lover, my fandoms are; LoZ, Star Wars, The Outsiders, Marvel, and a few other miscellaneous ones. mostly, I just make memes.

i think we should bring this back (with some amendments ofc) if we ever needed an "internet etiquette" for the younger generations, now is the moment to remind them. purity culture kills fandom

Don't Like, Don't Read (DL;DR), Your Kink is not My Kink And That's OK (YKINMKATO) and Ship and Let Ship

📣 Purity culture kills fandom! 📣

NO ONE LIVING hasn't been squicked out by something. There's over 7 billion of us, my delights and disgusts aren't universal. So I move on. Don't like the ship? Move on. Don't like____? Move on.

I am not an exception. Neither are you. I don't like it I move on and shut my gob about it because everyone everywhere is squicked out by something and they need to put the thing down and just…motor.

This but also:

Frames this entire post and hangs it over the fireplace.

Anyone else sometimes forget the level of disabled they are because it's so normal to yourself?

Sometimes i'll remember something i used to do, something i was able to do and that i definitely wasn't thinking about and i'll have trouble believing it. I know i was walking up and down stairs multiple times a day everyday and oftentimes running them but. It just doesn't true. Like, what do you mean i used to walk a kilometre to school and back every day when i was only half my size?? That can't possibly be right? But somehow it is! I used to jump on those garden trampolines for hours on end. How???

No way I was ever a competitive gymnast

just wanted to share the National Down Syndrome Society’s message for this year’s World Down Syndrome Day (21st March) 💛💙

Powerful message that lovingly includes multiple disabilities, united. I love this.

new WIP idea watch me take Grayson and Tom King's unused "Tim becomes Nightwing during the Ric amnesia arc" pitch and make both storylines good by combining them and acknowledging characters outside of the Batfam exist

okay so…..the basic concept here is Dick Grayson assumed death+amnesia arc with Dick becoming Ric and ending up with Spyral while Tim takes up Nightwing in the interim

Dick was specifically being targeted by Spyral and got shot in the head by them instead of KGBeast. They have doctors planted at the hospital, and when they reel him in for surgery they use the Hypnos tech to fake his death. Everyone's in mourning, everyone shows up to the funeral, etc etc.

Tim moves (back) to Bludhaven and takes on Nightwing as a memorial, tribute, and continuation of Dick's mission (he became Robin because Dick wouldn't. He becomes Nightwing because Dick can't). This plot serves as a way for him to mourn and honor Dick, deal with his own identity crisis, and grow beyond the Robin mantle once and for all by utilizing "Nightwing" as a transition period.

Meanwhile Dick wakes up. He has no idea who he is or where he is. The doctors that are taking care of him call him "Ric." He's told he works for an organization called Spyral, which they tell him is a covert operations organization that saves the world in the situations when the heroes don't want to get their hands dirty. He has no reason to disbelieve them, and stays.

Eventually, someone runs into Dick on a mission and recognizes him. Winter Soldier "Who the hell is Dick?" shenanigans and the fallout from everyone realizing Dick is actually alive and has amnesia ensue.

DONT use glasses, youll become dependent on them to see!!!! #WARONDRUGS #OVERPRESCRIPTION #CORRECTIVELENSADDICTION

I know this is a humorous exaggeration designed to show how silly it is to deny medication and mobility/quality of life aids to disabled people by applying the argument to something silly in a way that nobody would ever do but... unfortunately I have heard people say this. I've heard people suggest that people with minor sight problems shouldn't get glasses, and people needing to move to a stronger prescription should do it and should stay on as light a prescription as they can use and still function, because the glasses will "weaken their eyes" and make their eyesight worse (which is bullshit). People will pull this ableist bullshit on glasses wearers, too.

Hey full offense but if your excuse for not including Duke as Bruce's son and in Batkids/Batboys/Robins lineups is 'he already has parents' and you 'don't want to erase them',maybe you should consider Duke's parents literally can't take care of him and that you can have multiple parental figures.......and that Bruce and Duke have literally refered to eachother as father and son in the comics and even official arts frame them that way too.Duke was bullied all the time, kicked out of multiple schools, had a hard time making friends and keeping them too,was targeted by the cops AS A MINOR(which he still is!!!!),lost his parents or rather his parents lost their sanity to The Joker and now he's expected to self-rely when older and less good people were given more grace and care than him.I think y'all should drop the respectability politics and just let the black kid have a dad💀If DC stands for 'Disregard Canon',then DC also stands for 'Duke Counts'

Fr, i love Duke, and I always get so sad when he isn't included
