A Writer’s Introduction
Alright, I’ve been posting short stories and things for a few weeks, and now that Halloween is over, I thought it was time to do a proper introduction.
Who Am I?
My name is Liam. I am a 30 year old, British writer, who is currently unpublished. I’m cisgender, go by He/Him pronouns but have no object to They/Them, I’m straight (as far as I’m currently aware) and have mild Dyspraxia. I primarily write novels, but also short stories. I have various projects in the works, some of which I will be posting here.
What Am I Writing?
Currently, my potential projects include almost a dozen story universes, but to be straightforward, here are my main projects.
What Will I Be Posting?
- Random Short Stories
- Tales of Hero City
- Snippets of Novels
I’ll mainly be posting short stories and other minor writing pieces I have lying around, or I suddenly write. However, I will also begin posting a selection of stories from my Tales of Hero City collection. I may also start posting snippets from my novels, but we’ll have to wait and see. All my writing on here is tagged as #lamura dex writes!
Followers and Interaction
I am currently open to asks, reblogs, and general interaction. Reblogs especially would be appreciated, spreading the word. I’ll of course discuss my projects, but I’ll try and steer clear of spoilers where possible.
So, that’s me. Hope to see you out there in the writer sphere of the internet.

People used to comment on web comics.
People used to comment on fanfiction.
People used to comment on fanart.
People used to comment on OCs.
I hate “content” culture.
I hate “consuming content” and scrolling immediately to the next thing.
People used to be excited about the art that other people created.
People used to want to share that excitement with creators.
I hate this future.
Once someone tagged art that I made with “woah” and I think about it at least once a week. Someone else said “oh neat” once. Someone else WROTE A WHOLE DAMN POEM IN THE COMMENTS. Anyways even just one word can change how someone sees their art. You don’t even have to think about it too hard. You could put a keyboard smash and I’d probably cry from joy.
I’m also trying hard to interact more, I understand that it’s hard to break away from opening your phone and being in Content Consumption Mode.
I honestly hadn’t stopped to think about this until I saw this post… I used to think people would get annoyed if they were notified everytime someone posted a comment on their art. I never thought about it being like fanfiction and that they might appreciate comments. Frick, that means I’m part of the problem on here. Thats gotta change.
Every tag, every comment, every reblog with some kind of reaction/opinion or even just one word. All of these things are precious to creators!
I spent countless hours reading and rereading tags full of love people left under my art. All the people i could gift a laugh to or even inspire with something I made mean more to me then you could ever know.
It’s what makes me proud of my art!
And to think that you could have enjoyed my art in silence and I would have never known.
A very special shout out to the person who tagged “these mcgriddles make me want to shit so bad” on fanart in 2013 I think about you once a day
I welcome every comment on my writing I share here or the couple on AO3. Every single one.
As someone who’s been posting my short stories recently, my word do I feel this.

Alright. New plan.
I’m gonna start posting my Tales of Hero City stories weekly, usually one a week. I have just one question.
I’ll try and keep up with it until Collection One is complete.
Alright then.
Apocalypto Incident here we come, coming this Friday.
After that… the upload order might be more vibes than logic. We’ll see how we go.
Alright. New plan.

I honestly have a soft spot for Justice Man. He deserves better.
I'm reading the second story right now and I don't know who I hate more Sammy Swift or Footie.
What is the name of their team anyway?
Justice Man is my favourite goofball. Those young heroes need to put some respect on his name.
The young heroes don’t really have a team name. They’re just four heroes, working together to stop these villains on a temporary basis. But, if I had to come up with a name for their team, it would be…
“The Youngbloods.”
Or maybe “The Arrogant Four”
Hey! I honestly love your Tales of Hero City stories. I want to read them on ao3, please can you show the order of the stories? Like chronically?
I have been posting them a bit out of order, just posting whichever I feel like, but they’re all written in a way that they can hopefully be read standalone, in any order, for the most part.
For a more official order though, I’ve got a Master Post coming up in a bit that shows how I’d order them if they were in a published collection. It’s not exactly chronological, but it’s the best order I can come up with, jumping about the timeline as necessary.
And, I’ve now put the stories in a proper series on AO3. I’m still learning how to use that site. I’ll be updating both the Series and the Master Post as a I post more of them in the coming weeks.
