Alright. New plan.
I’m gonna start posting my Tales of Hero City stories weekly, usually one a week. I have just one question.
I’ll try and keep up with it until Collection One is complete.

Got the poll results concerning The Eight Deaths back after a week and I’m not massively surprised. No one read any of them, or are hopefully planning to read them. The only vote on there that said they did read them already was me, so I could see the results.
As I said, not surprising.
The only part that surprised me slightly is, I got 6 votes… out of 56 followers. Not the best turnout. And, weirdly, the only interaction I got with the poll was a reblog from someone who I don’t think even follows me?
How did they see it? I didn’t put any tags on it.
Tumblr is weird, man.
Anyway, this all put me in mind to check something else. And don’t worry, this will be my last poll for the foreseeable future.
I’ll do this poll for another week, reblogging it daily at different times for visibility.
So…
Well, here are the results. Based on these results, I can only conclude that I only have a single active follower, and everyone else is a dead blog or a bot. You’re all ghosts. Sorry if you didn’t know.
Anyway, needless to say, I’m a tad disappointed.
But I guess I’ll get back to working out what writing to post next… not that anyone will see it, apparently. Not with only ghosts out there.

*like you believe in drafts and do better with them but just. don’t get to doing them always/ever due to laziness, tiredness, spite, whatever reason. idk how to explain this
personally i just. do not do drafts and do not understand the concept of them. like i write my first draft and go through and edit things and it’s good, as i’m writing maybe scrap parts, but it’s as i’m writing, or even if i scrap the whole thing and start over, none of it is in a “draft mindset” sort of way?? i just do not get writing drafts. why would you write something multiple times. just write it all down and do quick edit to fix it up a bit. (and this is as someone who consistently gets 100% on essays + praise for them, and i’d say my personal fiction projects are pretty good too)
I write one draft and then edit perpetually until I can edit no more. Sometimes I’ll redraft a section, if it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, but otherwise no.
Not saying its the best system either, it’s a bit like chiselling a statue from memory, but I can’t seem to do it any other way.
smudged-red-ink:
I’ve got a few, but all of them are somewhere between Messy First Draft and Polished Manuscript.
They’re all done, but they could be more done.

(Note: by worst I mean from the survivors perspective….)
Also, if you voted explain why you picked your answer in the comments or reblogs!
From a practical standpoint, most of these would be worst because the monster could more easily kill you. Reality distortion, teleportation, blending in with shadows.
But I voted for mimicking someone’s voice. Because there is no more chilling a moment than the protag hearing their friend call out, only to realise their friend is actually somewhere entirely different. It sets up mind games, talking over radio, unsure what you can trust.
It also tells you the monster’s intelligent, it can talk, and it knows who to mimic. It knows you!

Alright, what should I post next? I’m throwing this question to the ether.
I’m honestly just a little bored and wanted to post something, so here we go. And I’m setting this to a week, but I might just post something before then.
Enjoy.
Alright, everyone. Here you go.
The winner.

Forgot to ask, but can anyone who sees this reblog it?
Or don’t… I’m not your parent.
Okay, one last time. If this doesn’t get many more votes or some reblogs, then I’ll call it and just post the winner.
Reblogs would be seriously appreciated though.
