it would be really funny if Hels was like venting or wtvr to Evil X and he starts talking about how he never felt safe or and stuff. always looking to survive, not live. this resonates with E.X. they almost go to comment on it but then Hels continues, and says he envies E.X., envies how he has Xisuma, someone whom he has a brotherly relationship with, someone he can feel safe around. Hels pauses but E.X. doesn't say anything so he goes on, and says that he wishes he had someone he knows he can always go back to, someone who can forgive after the worst fuck-ups- E.X. is still here, aren't they? after everything! Hels wants it all. Don't get him wrong, he doesn't like Xisuma, but it must be nice for E.X., right? Well, it must be a little complicated between them, too. Hels understands that,

but now, he thinks, its all better. it must be. and getting back to his point- oh, he just wants someone. or something, even. just a nice place. "nice" to him, it could be an array of different things. Hermitcraft ought to be E.X.'s place. And Xisuma, his someone. the server was nice and they could basically do whatever they wanted, right? the hermits were wary of them at best, but considering some of their track records, E.X. was hardly a threat. right, E.X. was just a guy, now. not some great horrific villain like Hels was. well he must be rambling now...

why is nobody talking about the pure TERROR that exile is. i just watched jevin’s episode and DEAR GOD.

twenty hours of elytra flight on the nether roof to make it back home. there is nobody there, there are armor stands fashioned to look like your enemies but they aren’t there. Not only that but there’s a room. A padded room, with a plant and a painting and some cake, with tapes that play rehabilitation messages. Messages that are affirming in some parts but also terrifying in delivery and in the overall thing they’re attempting to get across. “your friends are happy you’re receiving help. you’re beautiful. you’re talented.”

where are my psychological horror fics. where’s jevin being driven slowly to madness as scar’s voice just loops over and over. i know he walked away from the building but the POTENTIAL.

i think the near-extinction of people making fun, deep and/or unique interactive text-based browser games, projects and stories is catastrophic to the internet. i'm talking pre-itch.io era, nothing against it.

there are a lot of fun ones listed here and here but for the most part, they were made years ago and are now a dying breed. i get why. there's no money in it. factoring in the cost of web hosting and servers, it probably costs money. it's just sad that it's a dying art form.

anyway, here's some of my favorite browser-based interactive projects and games, if you're into that kind of thing. 90% of them are on the lists that i linked above.

• The Cafe & Diner - mystery game
• The New Campaign Trail - US presidential campaign game
• Money Simulator - simulate financial decisions
• Genesis - text-based adventure/fantasy game
• Level 13 - text-based science fiction adventure game
• Miniconomy - player driven economy game
• Checkbox Olympics - games involving clicking checkboxes

if you're ever thinking about making a niche project that only a select number of individuals will be nerdy enough to enjoy, keep in mind i've been playing some of these games off and on for 20~ years (Alter Ego, for example). quite literally a lifetime of replayability.

thinking about an au where hels was killed back in season 7. horribly underestimating how far wels was willing to go, he not only lost their little fight, but also his life.

so... if he's dead, then who is sitting next to him at this Evil Emporium meeting, years later? Evil X plainly refers to him as "Hels." And it looks like Hels. it looks like whatever memory of him was left in Wels' mind. He's smiling, though.

Smiling, grinning, wide, but not scowling.

He's not treating Wels like he's his murderer. He's not saying anything, actually. Nervously, Wels glances at Beef, who can only shrug, scratch at his face, and go back to paying attention to Evil X talking.

who are you is the thought that comes to Wels' mind. why are you here? what happened? and why-

why is Wels the only one that cares about this? Everyone else looks so unbothered. no one else is worried, or afraid. no one cares if he screams. no one ...no one is going to help him.

this messed up vintage cat sewing pattern has tormented me since i saw it & like some other folks have done in that post - i tried my hand at tweaking the pattern to resemble the illustration (and my personal tastes) a little more. i've ended up with this, which i have only tested at a small scale and not this final version exactly (where i have done such things as further widening the cheeks and finalizing the leg shapes.) i bestow it upon you nice folks now 👐
