Okay this is not the movie that I expected from the poster/backdrop

Had a difficult time deciding on the score for this. On one hand it's THE FIRST ANIMATED FILM IN ASIA, and that fact overshadows everything else. On the other hand, if you told me this was the first time everyone who made this worked on animation, I would believe you.

It's like playing the Magnavox Odyssey. Like yep, it sure is the first video game console ever made. You can tell because it's just two lines that can be moved…

Poolman is Chris Pine saying “well if nobody’s going to cast me as a loser wannabe detective THEN I’M JUST GOING TO HAVE TO DO IT MYSELF!” AND WE NEED MORE ACTORS TO DO THIS

I couldn’t stop laughing. This is the exact amount of goofy that I love to see in comedies. I can see people calling this a “hit or miss” movie but almost every joke hit for me. I love watching the main heroes be a bunch of idiots running around after watching Chinatown a few too many times. I won’t be forgetting this film anytime soon!

I'm fascinated that this is the only "horror anime" that actually felt like it earned the genre's name. It does this through tone and atmosphere instead of a bunch of dumb-shit teenagers killing each other like a lot of "horror anime" do. It's a breath of fresh air to see actually intelligent characters in a horror anime.
Not to mention one of the freakiest vampire scenes I have ever seen.
