This is a bad movie - but I‘ll give it a pass. As to why: It‘s kinda fun to watch.

Well, the characters are largely uninteresting, the settings are lacking and the parts that seem to hint at some kind of plot are hard to figure out/follow.
BUT: combined with a ton of [but often lame] jokes (mostly revolving around making fun of today’s rich/powerful people) and generally acceptable CGI, it‘s so bad that it again makes for a somewhat enjoyable 90 minutes of watching time. (Especially when you set your expectations low enough)

May main point of criticism for this movie is that I wanted/expected more Strange to appear. The visuals are very creative, show some pretty cool new places. Combined with their excellent quality (note that I only watched the movie once), from a graphical standpoint this movie is arguably succeeding it‘s predecessor in every way.

Story wise it falls in line with most of the MCUs so called „solo“ movie sequels. It integrates some other characters while also introducing new ones…

A dead body hanging of a cliff - an introductory scene that throws you right into the plot. With pretty great acting, an intriguing story and excellent visuals this movie keeps you on your toes, as long as you are fine with some slower parts as well. Mixing what essentially are two plots and slowly merging them throughout the movie makes this picture quite a bit different from what I’ve seen lately. While arguably a bit gross and quite thrilling…

    The Experiment

Very intense, dramatic, violent. Everything gains even more weight when you remember that this experiment actually happened - although it never got to such extreme levels. Now, I have to admit that it does also get gross sometimes. This means that in my opinion, this is not for everyone and definitely not for kids (sub 16). Even though some of the actions are a little far fetched, I think it adequately demonstrates why such an experiment should never happen again.
