Infinity Pool is undeniably awesome but unfortunately the film does not much besides (successfully) shock. The biggest problem I felt was with the protagonist who is not treated as a character but merely as a victim of B. Cronenberg’s sadistic dystopia. This results in an unsatisfying ending in which nothing has changed but the body he now inhabits.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie with such excessive and tiring exposition it genuinely felt like this film’s script was a Wikipedia page. The bomb scene and the 10 minutes after it where the film turns into a psychological thriller about Oppenheimer grappling with killing thousands while being hailed a hero was incredible, so why did you then give us another hour and a half of boring dialogue Nolan, Just shut the fuck up and try to make me feel any semblance of emotion next time.
Awful overhyped thrash
It was good but the more I sit on it, it feels like Wes Anderson trying to make a Wes Anderson movie and the film becomes almost a caricature of itself (which is acknowledged throughout the meta commentary sections) but it doesn’t completely forgive it.
