  Maybe the worst Marvel movie? Less boring than the Eternals, but far more fundamentally flawed. Anthony Mackie isn't a great leading man but that didn't necessarily have to be a problem.

  A beautiful, but shallow time at the theater.

  Does evil come from within us or without?

  This is the most thematic statement the movie makes. You could argue it's about the socialietal reprocussions of people indulging in their worst impulses, but I don't think that's supported by the text.

  It's really good. Watch it.

  
  Thoughts:
  Everything feels super intentional in the best way. There is this over-the-top dramatic beat at the beginning where the audience I was with laughed because it was so odd. But, the laugh there works. It sets you up and draws you in.

  The score is great by the way. It's one of those workhorse scores that guides your emotions like the best of shepherds.
