  what a powerful and deeply visceral display of Richard Gadd’s battle through the trauma he faced and carries. there were actual moments where my stomach was hurting. fully engaged every single episode, and extremely well written. i actually watched this through without knowing that Gadd was playing himself until the last episode. the tears were flowing out of me by then as his painful monologue recollecting every wound he’d loosely bound through the two years was playing.
