    This was an experience; an ode to Guadagnino’s raw ability to translate the most guttural of human emotions to the big screen. Dread creeps on up the viewer immediately, as the film begins with a bang- or rather, a loud crunch.     Between The Menu and Triangle of Sadness, it’s been a good season for “eat the rich” dark comedies- but I definitely preferred this one to its nautical counterpart.

    The film is gripping from the first minute- we are immediately thrown into action and introduced to the full ensemble, wasting no time at all. The worldbuilding is fantastic; ultimately this is what happens when Ratatouille meets Midsommar.
