I know that someone has already made the excellent point that the people who are saying that this film was a Kate Winslet Oscar grab just hate women need to get it together, but I have a couple of points to add. I mean, what can I say about Paris, Texas? Twenty minutes into this film I knew it was one of the most stunning, emotional, beautifully crafted pieces of cinema I have ever seen in my life.
