  An oldie which I just watched. Although an interesting premise with Hell's kitchen brought to life, rotting garbage and all, with a good supporting cast, I struggled to overcome my view of Melissa McCarthy as a comic actress rather than a straight one, which she plays here

  Although a remake of the 2022 original, James McEvoy's performance with very solid and nervy support from Mackenzie Davis make this a definite worthwhile watch. Not to mention Dan Hough and Alix West Lefler who were both excellent.
  Tense, uneasy early scenes build to a brutal climax.

  A very simple premise with a pretty good cast. Enjoyable and definitely not taxing. A couple of good action set pieces. Bit of a cosy ending....would have preferred something a little harsher

  Amazing special effects gets you to suspend any disbelief! Some clever references to the 1968 original; Very character driven with a highly open ending, ripe for sequels... Didn't find it overly long. Entertaining
