I have not actually watched this film in whole, but I keep returning to watch bits and pieces of this film as a source of visual inspiration. This is without doubt one of the most deliciously stylized cartoon films of its time. As far as I can tell, it's a collection of short musical vignettes presented as the dreams given to each of a cast of children. I have tracked down English subtitles, but cannot find out how to sync…

A friend of mine introduced me to this film on a whim. I don’t typically watch dramas, but this was a whopper of a film. A unique story that feels true to life in its writing and performance, although that ending sent me.

When you're playing against a bunch of crazy puppet characters in a painted cartoon world, you too have to match that chaotic, cartoony energy. The way this was hyped up so intensely for so long, I was expecting this to be at least 20 minutes. No, it's less than 10. It's a fun less-than-10 minutes if you really like Disney and especially like traditional animation, which clearly they blew their budget on in lieu of a complete voice cast (many lines are recycled from recordings of original Disney films). Before you should ask -- and I'm the only person who would, so the chances are unlikely you'd ask anyway -- yes, the stop motion work of Bill Justice and Xavier Atencio has been snubbed again.
