  “JUST BURY ME IN THE OCEAN, WITH MY ANCSESTORS WHO JUMPED FROM THE SHIPS, BECAUSE THEY KNEW DEATH, WAS BETTER THAN BONDAGE”.

  Black Panther follows on from the events of Captain America Civil War. Following the death of King T’Chaka, his son T’Challa takes on the mantle as king.

  This movie has all the potential to be the best mcu movie to date but it was full of bad accents, rushed fight scenes and unappealing dialogue.

  The movie tries to use african accents but eventually mimic them, causing more bad than good

  Loved this movie, the pace was good! it was funny at times, emotionally charged, the movie dealt with family dynamics really well. I also love it when movies are narrated, builds added layers of connection to the characters. 

  would have love to see the family dynamic between the in laws be explored more, did feel like they were just there to pop their heads in and then go, but overall really liked it!!

  Week 1: Niko 

  Overall i Liked the film, displayed an interesting depiction of pre war times, war preparation and the impact it has on couples, families and local communities. The harsh realities of what a war is like and what it entails was very much depicted in this movie.

  My problems with the film comes from a dialogue standpoint. Personally, it did not speak to me, i didn’t feel moved by the words said and found it difficult to catch…
