This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This is definitely a *loose* adaptation of the turn of the screw, and secondly-- this is a great ghost story!!! I love all of the little anxiety inducing bits in it, like having to lock every door before opening a new one and needing to keep everything dark (though the constant jumpscares(? if they count? they're just like, sudden movement and musical stings probably meant to keep the audience awake i think lolol) got a bit old).
