I would almost put money on a movie being at least worth watching once I learn that Jason Bateman is in the cast. He can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. Important message. Heavy, heavy storylines. Highly recommend. 👍🏻👍🏻 ☆☆☆☆½

I'll preface this review by admitting that this movie was unexpectedly triggering for me, as I'm 52 and still trying to connect with my birth family.
That being said, I'm calling "bullshit" that Alex and her mother had this amazing connection. One so good, the boys held resentments about it. Yet, her true paternity was a secret, kept from her, by her mother, for her whole life.....bullshit. Both things can't be true. Especially once her mother realized she was dying.…

I was expecting your standard rom-com, which I rarely give more than 3☆. This one is getting a 4☆ because there were actually several times that I really laughed! The characters were written well & the dialog was quick and genuine. I will likely watch this one again somewhere down the road. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻☆☆☆☆
