But it doesn’t matter.
Set & costume design on point. Messy structure but the short length pulls it off. I always appreciate a girls gone bad moment. I feel like it’s very relevant today, especially with the rise of the clean girl, demure aesthetic: it made me ponder on how we’re once again confining ourselves (women) to stereotypes of exemplary girls/women and circling back to where we began. I also like that it goes beyond just feminist themes and comments on overconsumption/hedonism in general. The type of movie that will keep me thinking and visually inspired for a while.
