This film jabs at the audience like none other- I was constantly gasping and never knew what it would throw at me next. An incredibly depressing look into the human condition and our embarrassing, often self-sabotaging nature. Lots of commentary to unpack here, this film is something else.

You know- watching this film while eating a McDonalds cheeseburger and large fry order that I know full well is too many calories for one day is pretty fitting for the given subject matter…
I think it’s well made for the person it’s about- it is personally very difficult, though, to watch said person on screen non-stop for two hours when we already see him with some new outrageous tantrum on the news every day.

Potentially my new favorite film from one of my favorite filmmakers, Yorgos Lanthimos. Alone, any of the three stories presented here would be (in my opinion) compelling enough- but when presented together like this, I found the experience completely engaging and always thought provoking.
