  It was fine. It was ok. I’m irked that it is so midline and not absolutely terrible. There are so many pieces here that should have resulted in a decent Borderlands movie. I was hopeful for Curtis’s version of Tannis and it did not disappoint. She brought what makes Tannis Tannis.   Really didn’t have interest in this until seeing the cast list and everyone delivers. The telegraphing was well done here and the many turns are managed well enough to leave uncertainty in the right places and at the right levels. The technical aspects of the film are pitch-perfect, from the lighting to the pacing to the framing and staging and more.

  Fantastic fighting, great integration of aspects from the games, costumes and effects were pretty fun, two scene-stealing performances from two characters I did not expect to run with it. 

  Flimsy and shallow narrative, 🤬 gross treatment of the few female characters and Jax, terrible editing, no respect for the fights (jumps from fight to fight even during another fight), nothing but one long setup for the next film.
