Really enjoyed this movie except that I felt like Didi himself kinda sucked. Kept making terrible decisions that seemed obviously to be the wrong ones. That was the only thing keeping my score lower than 4 stars. Then I read the reviews and realized I couldn’t connect with the character because I was a cool kid with friends during that time of my life.

Night of the Living Dead 1968
Many people don't enjoy watching older films, especially in black and white, because they feel like it's visually "not as good" as other things they can enjoy. For me, this means the creators of the film had to be even more meticulous in the way they wrote, directed, shot, and edited the project to achieve their vision. That's why I feel Romero's genre-defining piece is an example of someone who's a master at his craft.
