what a beautiful, quirky black british love story :)
i love movies where the city is its own character and this may just be the greatest advertisement for london ever put to film. the soundtrack was wonderful (s/o the scene where eric and dom are pissing listening to artful dodger), the background characters were also so weird and lovely and the city genuinely looks so fun to explore.
honestly, if david jonsson looked at me the way dom looked at yas i’d fall in love with him by the end of the day too.

I had to watch this for my Sociology of Housing class and wow this was an amazing and effective way to illustrate the full extent the trail of corruption and fraud that played into the 2008 Housing Crisis went. And the worst part is the fact that nearly zero regulations came of this, zero people were prosecuted or arrested, and this very well could happen again because neoliberal capitalists are spineless losers with no code of ethics.
