  An adult spy drama driven by characters, their relationships, and crackling dialogue. It’s sleek, brisk, and the cast is all on the same wavelength of Koepp’s script and Soderbergh’s direction. 

  More movies should star Tom Burke and Marisa Abela.

  I know this is being sold and marketed as a heist thriller but it’s not as heist-y as you might think. These female characters truly are the focal point of the story and McQueen does a helluva a balancing act with his storytelling of Gillian Flynn’s complex script. It just seems to hit some lulls throughout but always pulled me back in when I felt like I was getting a tad bit bored. 

  There’s one thing that can’t be faulted…

  A moody & melancholic character piece that examines Pitt’s broken ‘Roy McBride’ through an inward journey that takes place amongst the stars & forces him to confront who he is and his flaws as well as his damaged relationship with his father. 

  So how the hell did James Gray get something so intimate and on this large of a scale made?! I really don’t know but I’m sure glad he did.
