Mary Poppins is gender. And the whimsy in this movie is off the charts.
It does have some extremely questionable British attitudes wrapped within it though. And for a movie called Mary Poppins, it could have used more Mary Poppins.

Very imaginative with a visual style like nothing else I’ve ever seen. I’m impressed they were able to make a silent film work in the modern day. There were a few points in the movie where I felt like it was going on for a bit too long though.
