The Island is absolutely an example of a movie so bad .. its good. The list of decisions gone wrong here are staggering.
Brando re-does Colonel Kurtz with a new character motivation. He wants to build the perfect cast for the long running Broadway play, Cats by splicing animal and human genes so that we get a new species of humans that look like they are wearing costumes.
Beautiful animation but admittedly I was hoping for something a with a little more punch. Nemo goes to sleep and becomes a king while fighting nightmare land. Kinda weirdly the opposite of the Freddy franchise.
This movie is about as good as a glass of 7Eleven zinfandel that has been microwaved. The real story it's based upon deserves a better pour. Chris Pine wears a wig so bad that each actor is due points just for keeping a straight face in scene with him.

At parts a real oddity. Getting a hot parakeet chorus singer to seduce an Elvis rooster is a wild concept for a kids movie.
Watching cartoon movies from the 80s and 90s makes you nostalgic for a time when stakes existed in kids movies. The luggage box turned impromptu flooding submarine will always haunt me.
