Memories of Murder 2003
I really liked the movie.
I enjoyed the stubbornness of all three leads a lot. The tone can get silly because of it, but the movie is really invested in contrasting Korean detective work during this era with what you would normally expect from watching other detective movies, and their escalating behavior really helps sell how helpless the situation feels.
I didn't fully understand the final shot but I guess that's fine.
