Pamela Anderson and Dave Bautista are pulling above their weight in this one.

I enjoyed the cinematography conceptually, but the films stock is doing a lot of work to make this project seem a bit higher brow than it is.

Lots of interesting character potential in this one especially the generational difference being explore between the different women performers, but it doesn’t really come together. The most interesting aspects are introduced just as Anderson does her final show.

Give this project to a different Coppola or Gerwig and you might have something great.

A lyrical piece of documentary filmmaking that seeks to make images of Black life through Black eyes.

It’s a challenging work that puts pressure on your patience and yearning for a clear through line. Instead, it forces the viewer to sit within moments and truly see.

There are some absolutely awe inspiring visuals in this piece if you’re willing to engage with it completely.

The sun rises and sets everywhere on this planet. Ross tells us, this is what it looks like here.

    There’s a power in that.

Some films feel like coming home. Coming home doesn’t always feel so good.

Incredible film that could have been made yesterday. Gorgeous color grading. Outstanding editing. Really feels like they don’t make films like these anymore.

Love it. Also funny as hell.
