This was so close to reaching the thresholds of extraordinary if it weren’t for the plot—specifically the ‘conflict’ which was very surface level, not meaty enough in comparison to the rest of the story line. Nonetheless, the animation was riveting. Not only is (serious) adult animation a rarity, the style itself was so unique to the film. It almost felt like I was on one of those Virtual Reality rides at universal studios.
