Why do people always die exactly after having finished saying what they needed to say in movies. Like it can’t just be me that is surprised by them chatting it up for about 20 minutes, whilst the people around simply sit there sobbing without doing anything, like girl… maybe try stopping the bleeding, idk…? And then the minute they are done they’re like “okay… good night”.
It’s just… I see it alot in film and it can’t be realistic.

Defending Jacob 2020
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
All the characters kind of annoyed me by the end and I HATE that we never get to know if he did it or not.
The kid was a psycho with zero empathy, the mum just cried a lot (fair) but did nothing until the end(which was a very peculiar choice of action might I add), and the dad was purposefully ignorant.
Also the ending felt like a cheap scapegoat, like why..? It just felt irrelevant and misleading, using all the “flash forwards”snippets as a trick when pieces were in fact not quite related to the same puzzle at allTranslated from by -
Nocturnal Animals 2016
For a film that moves a lot through separate fictions and timelines they did a surprisingly clean job. Acting was amazing, and the metaphor of physical violence and loss representing the pain she caused him when slowly killing their marriage was, although slightly on the nose, rather beautiful.
The ending felt gutt-wrenching, even when compared to the morbidity of the novel, which in my opinion is a success in itselfTranslated from by
