  Every performance is great. The story is compelling but not too complex for my non-sci-fi brain to follow.

  I just wanted to be blown away; that’s on me.

  This is one that lingers.

  The music choices were perfect.

  The pacing was surprising* (in a good way) and somewhat inconsistent, which kept me on my toes.

  Guy Pearce must be a chill guy, because the only scenes I didn’t totally buy involved his character’s yelling at people.

  *The Princeton students in front of us who were very clearly required to be there and who checked their phones for the time every five minutes might have a different take.

  This movie manages to be aggressively grotesque and deeply boring. Trash, poop, garbage, doo-doo. A steaming pile. Negative stars. I should receive stars for having suffered through this.
