  genuinely beautiful and very well filmed, one of the best a24 movies imo. personally i think that the pacing was a little bit weird but i think that’s supposed to add to the immersion and scare appeal because they’re stuck in the wilderness with no escape and losing track of time so i think the strange pacing was perfect. most horror movies aren’t my jam but this was so perfectly scary and feels real, all of the horror was brought on by the characters actions rather than an omnipotent source so it feels like something that could actually happen which is the best type of horror
