  Add this to my list of films that should’ve won Best Picture over Green Book.

  Yorgos Lanthimos, is quickly becoming one of the best current directors out there. This film was magnificent. He got the tone for the movie absolutely perfect, his camera work throughout is incredible, and he really made it very funny, which given the subject/setting is no easy task.

  Promising Young Woman 2020

  There has been a surge of female directors recently, from Greta Gerwig, to Chloe Zhao, and now that list includes Emerald Fennell, who has announced her presence in an emphatic way. While this film isn’t without it’s flaws, Miss Fennell is no doubt a tremendously talented filmmaker, and someone to keep a close eye on for future projects.
